X-Factor: Amil Wimzie, Highlands - It's unlikely that anyone will come close to knocking off Covington Catholic in the 9th but Highlands has the scoring balance to be competitive. Wimzie, only an 8th grader, has shown the type of athleticism that is required to be competitive with the Colonels. While the Bluebirds have 4 different players averaging double figures, I think the 8th grader is the potential difference maker in the postseason.

X-Factor: [player_tooltip player_id='2123716' first='Isaiah' last='Rowlett'], Montgomery County - For MoCo to make the sort of run they made last year, Rowlett will need to be a dependable shooter and 4th/5th scoring option down the stretch. The Indians have limped to a 5-5 finish to the season but they have been playing against some of the best teams in the state in those 10 games. Isaiah offers a lot of upside with his size and shooting but since [player_tooltip player_id='2194461' first='Austin' last='Sears'] got eligible, Rowlett's role has been minimized. If Montgomery wants to get to Rupp Arena, [player_tooltip player_id='3360431' first='Dawson' last='Gentry'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2123716' first='Isaiah' last='Rowlett'] need to be factors in what will likely be two games against GRC in the next couple of weeks.
