[player_tooltip player_id='2194744' first='AJ' last='Greig'], 6'4 W Ramapo 2028

It's hard to call the reigning sectional champions an underdog, but the six seed in North 1 Group 1 will need Greig to have the Crusaders playing for another sectional title. The 6'4 wing has a good first step, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce and finishes strong around the rim. Greig uses his size to see over his defender and can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and pushes the pace nicely in transition. Greig had three 20-point games in Ramapo's run to the Group 3 final and will need similar performances from him during the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2969733' first='Tysean' last='Scott'], 6'2 PG/PF Paterson Charter 2029

Senior Julian Estrella leads the way for the Lions' offense, but Scott's contributions on the interior have been vital this season. The 6'2 freshman uses his strong frame to get position down low and has a good touch around the rim. Scott can also get to the rim off the bounce and sets his feet before he shoots. He works hard on the glass and holds his ground on the defensive end. Scott will need to rack up double-doubles during the state tournament if Paterson Charter wants to repeat as sectional champions.

[player_tooltip player_id='2786669' first='Angel' last='Feliz Diaz'], SG Elmwood Park 2027

Diaz is in the middle of a breakout season, averaging a little over 16 points per game. He has a smooth release on his jumper as he wastes little motion and can knock down triples in bunches. Diaz moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Diaz is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance during the North 1 Group 2 tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344534' first='James' last='Roberts'], 6'2 CG/PG East Orange 2027

Roberts has been a key part of the Jaguars' attack over the last three seasons and should continue to do so during the sectional tournament. The 6'2 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and can finish through contact. Roberts is more than just a slasher as he has a clean shooting stroke and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He is a tough rebounder and works hard on the defensive end. Roberts is a physical guard prospect who is looking to lead East Orange back to the sectional title for the third straight season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3437162' first='AJ' last='Cruz'], 5'10 CG Bloomfield 2027

Cruz is another prospect in the middle of a breakout season, averaging nearly 21 points per game this season. The 5'10 guard has a quick release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Cruz can also get into the paint off the bounce and has a nice touch in the mid-range. He moves well without the ball in his hands and pushes the pace well in transition. Cruz has the ability to get hot from deep in a hurry, which will help Bloomfield make a deep run during in the North 1 Group 4 tournament.
