The Case for the Tigers:

Fresh off an upset of the previously undefeated Ballard, and a 46-point drubbing of Indianola, ADM looks as dangerous as it has all season. Winners of 10 of their last 11 games, the Tigers are rolling with a big three that few in the 3A ranks can match.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978130' first='Hudson' last='Lorensen'] is the big name for ADM, as the lefty sharp-shooter recently became the program's leading scorer. A creator off-the-dribble as his team's primary ball-handler, Lorensen can get to the rim and finish with either hand, step into a shot from the outside or catch and shoot from deep. So far this season, the Upper Iowa commit is averaging 22.4 points per game while shooting 52.2% from the field, 47.2% from three and a ridiculous 94.4% from the free throw line. Those are all at high volume, too, as Lorensen has shot over 200 attempts from the field, 100 attempts from three and 70 attempts from the stripe. A contender for Iowa's Mr. Basketball, Lorensen is a virtual lock for First-Team All-State honors.

Known as a skilled big that emulates one of the top players in the world with his ability to score, pass and rebound, [player_tooltip player_id='1978115' first='Trey' last='Bryte'] has occassionally been referred to as the Nikola Jokic of Iowa high school basketball. He's got the stats to back it up, too. Averaging a near triple-double, Bryte is putting up 13.9 points, 9.2 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game, ranking second in assists per game in 3A. Just as Lorensen has the school record for points, Bryte has the record for assists. Not quite the scorer that Lorensen is, Bryte might be the X-factor for ADM's post season success, as he does so many different things for the Tigers. In addition to leading ADM in rebounding and assists, he also leads the Tigers in steals (2.5) and blocks (1.1) per game.

After spending a chunk of time sidelined, [player_tooltip player_id='1978146' first='Hudson' last='Shull'] has returned to the court at a great time for the Tigers. Playing in the win over Ballard and getting his feet wet for the first time in a while, Shull made his presence known once again in the matchup with Indianola, where he put up 20 points for the Tigers, shooting 6-of-10 from three and grabbing six boards. Getting their third playmaker back, the Tigers may be hitting their stride in the perfect time for the postseason.
