Grind Session DC: Intriguing Bigs

He utilized his size and strength to carve out position in the paint for scoring and offensive rebounding opportunities. I continue to be encouraged by his touch flashes at the rim and free-throw line. Morton leveraged his size and length to block multiple shots by staying vertical with high hands. Gillion was without it's top player in [player_tooltip player_id='1633067' first='Marcis' last='Ponder'], the 6'11 big man that's headed to FSU, and Zhu was able to feast on the glass and as a play finisher as Gillion had immense trouble keeping Zhu from establishing position wherever he wanted. Zhu flashed some interesting passing acumen with a smooth drop off baseline pass after cutting down the lane. Guot Guot was an impressive shotblocker and rim deterrent due to his size and ridiculous length. This was illustrated by a monstrous two hand hand block at the rim in help that he was able to keep in play and ignite the transition opportunity. Guot is still fairly raw offensively with his best work being as a play finisher. He did attempt a pick-and-pop three that was missed, but he shot it with confidence and it was on target, just missed long.
