It's hard to be any more efficient than the 6-8 big man was against Wahlert last week, scoring 37 points, missing just one shot, and impacting the game on the defensive end as well with his three stocks. The future Northern Iowa forward has always been extremely efficient because of his elite footwork and touch around the rim on his post touches, but he has consistently added range to his game and is now a real threat to step out and stretch the floor from 3.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1765549' first='Leyton' last='Wolf'] (Cedar Falls) – 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3P, 2-2 FT), 7 rebounds, 11 assists [vs. Wahlert Catholic]

Gerdes' teammate had a really nice game against the Golden Eagles as well, showing his ability to stuff the stat sheet in a variety of ways. Long known for his size, length, and IQ allowing him to be a dominant, versatile defender, Wolf showcased his offensive versatility against Wahlert, dishing out 11 helpers, using his 6-7 frame to see over the defense and find open teammates for quality looks.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2617518' first='Jayvion' last='Hanson'] (Des Moines East) – 34 points (11-19 FG, 6-8 3P, 6-7 FT), 8 rebounds, 2 assists [vs. Mason City]

The 6-0 guard had a career shooting game against Mason City last week, burying six 3-pointers and doing so on 75% shooting. He's a 32% 3-point shooter for the season, so this performance was certainly an outlier, but deserves to be celebrated nonetheless. He did a nice job using the threat of his jumper to allow him to attack the rim as well.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2204081' first='Charlie' last='King'] (Roosevelt) – 31 points (11-18 FG, 5-10 3P, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals [at Urbandale]

King is one of the elite scorers in the 2027 class, already surpassing 1,000 career points and he's well on his way to becoming Roosevelt's all-time leading scorer. A pure scorer who shoots it from 3, creates off the dribble, and is a tenacious, aggressive rebounder, he was fantastic against the J-Hawks last week, putting up a double-double and showing that the Roughriders are for real.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='3255094' first='Eduardo' last='Frazier'] (Sioux City West) – 31 points (12-15 FG, 1-2 3P, 6-11 FT), 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals [at Spencer]

Sioux City West is having their best season in quite a while, and senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='3255094' first='Eduardo' last='Frazier'] has been a big reason why. He was fantastic against the Tigers, dropping 31 points on just 15 shots, getting into the teeth of the defense and either scoring or distributing routinely.

2027 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2419810' first='Easton' last='McGraw'] (Indianola) – 27 points (11-17 FG, 5-7 3P), 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals [at Des Moines Christian]

A big 6-6 wing with great size, McGraw does a nice job utilizing his edge on the offensive end, using his big frame to shoot over defenders, as he did against DMC last week, burying five 3-pointers. His length also allows him to impact the game on the defensive end, getting into passing lanes and contesting shots.

2026 PF Corde Patterson (Des Moines North) – 15 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3P, 3-5 FT), 16 rebounds, 2 blocks [vs. Waterloo East]

An athletic, big 6-7 forward, Patterson was dominant on the glass against an undersized Waterloo East team, pulling down 16 boards en route to a big double-double for the Polar Bears.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2023719' first='Will' last='Wehr'] (Prairie) – 26 points (9-13 FG, 5-8 3P, 3-3 FT), 2 rebounds, 2 steals [vs. Cedar Rapids Jefferson]

The Hawks are rolling, winning 12 of their last 13 games, and Wehr's resurgence has been a big part of it. He's one of the best shooters in the state, and while he has had an up-and-down year, he's playing good ball down the stretch and will be a major factor if the Hawks are going to make a postseason run.
