Konkol has broke out this year as a player who stars in his role for 4A contenders Cascia. His role is simple, hit open shots. Especially from three. He torched Texas program Hebron with 6 threes early on to kick off his season. And has kept it going throughout the year. Impressed in person back in December when he went off in the first half against 6A contender Norman. With an outstanding group of fellow juniors, Konkol could be overlooked at times. But he's the type of shooter who could swing games in the biggest moments during the playoff run.

A name in the panhandle to track. Lire is a bright spot for Guymon, who is producing notable numbers. Including 38 points in a OT win this week over Liberal (KS). He's a long armed wing, who can post up mismatches on the block. Step out and hit the three. And can throw it down in transition. Or even off a drop step in the post. His willingness to go inside, and lean on wingspan and height advantage to hit post jumpers is a promising sign. It's only off footage but the measurable and signs of offensive skill appear to be there for Lire to have next level potential.

Likely a name for the future more than the now. Jones transferred over mid-season from Choctaw and is getting run when Millwood blows out teams (which is quite often). And when he does, his next level athleticism allows for highlight reel dunks. Anytime a player is as tall as he is and moves like he does, he's going to have opportunities to play at the next level. Especially with the athletic background of his family.

The junior is averaging over 16 points a game this season and has cleared 1,000 points for his career. He's a long armed guard, who has some wiggle in his dribble. Makes him effective in the small school ranks to create space and then pull the trigger from deep. He led Sweetwater to a top 20 ranking in Class B1 for the regular season, but an early playoff loss means Prince and company will have to win 5 straight out of the consolation bracket to make state.

Change of pace guard for the 6A Bulldogs. He has a quick first step and a nose for forcing turnovers. Promisingly when pushing it off steals, he does play with his head up and often is unselfish with his passing. Scrappy defense and unselfish play is a good building block for any guard. Seems to have the style of game that could thrive in the more up and down nature of grassroots basketball this spring and summer.

Simunek has helped Waukomus to 23-1 recored and has them ranked 10th in Class A. He's been an impressive scorer this year, including 27 in a win against Class B-2 contenders Dover in Skeltur Conference title game. Also put 23 on Dover to start the year in a narrow loss. It's especially impressive as Dover has one of the best defenses in the Oklahoma small school ranks with a defensive minded head coach. He's a lefty shooter from deep, who doesn't look phased by closeout attempts. Also has solid speed when pushing the tempo for transition scores. Is already a 1,000 point scorer. Now has Wakumis a few wins away from a trip to the State Tournament for the first time since 1974.
