Battle in the 14th: Lee County vs Leslie County

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Tuesday, February 17th, the Lee County Bobcats and the Leslie County Eagles squared off in a senior night contest in Beatyville at Lee County High School. A little over a month ago, on January 7th, these two teams went at in Hyden at Leslie County High School with the Eagles pulling away on their home floor 71-36. Last night was a different game. The Leslie County Eagles pulled away victorious in a 70-63 win, this time it was far from a blowout. He is averaging 38 PPG. Last night was no different. He finished with 39 points and 12 rebounds. Any spot on the floor is a danger zone for Corey. He has a dangerous mid-range jumper, can score from deep, and get to the rim. Mason gives 110% on every possession that he is on the floor. He finished the night with 3 points and 5 rebounds. Every loose ball, Mason was after it. He finished with 18 points, shooting 50% from the floor. Jesse was able to get to the rim at ease where he drew contact and was able to get to the free throw line where he shot 5 for 7. Tripp scored 15 points and shot an astonishing 70% from the floor. Tripp has excellent footwork around the basket and create open shots with his size. He has a high basketball IQ which helps him take smart shots from the floor. He was 2 for 2 from beyond the arc. Cutter shot 7 for 12 from the floor for 58%, he also grabbed six rebounds. Cutter is only a sophomore so he will continue to grow and mature.
