On Tuesday February 3rd I watched the match-up of 4A Arcadia Titans hosting the 4A Cactus Shadows Falcons.

Both teams are ranked in the Top-5 of 4A and will definitely make the OPEN.

I checked out all three levels with Freshman, JV and Varsity.

Here were the standouts on the night

All the stats are unofficial.

Freshman Game (57-35 Arcadia won)

[player_tooltip player_id='3354660' first='Tyson' last='Delano'] Arcadia

One of the stars of the night happened in the freshman game with young Delano pouring in 25 points in only three quarters of action. He is getting more and more confident as the season goes and his mid-range jumper is almost automatic. He will stop and pop and rise up. He also has a step back, spin moves, three off the catch and will score it off the glass with put backs. He sprayed the ball around for a couple of assists and collected multiple steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2716510' first='Spencer' last='Goldberg'] Arcadia

A cerebral point forward type plays a few positions for the Titans up front as an efficient scorer and play-maker. He will score with in-traffic layups with either, and-1's and hit the three off the catch cleanly. His passing is next level stuff with ropes up the court and needle threaders all game long, which is one of his best skills. He finished with 12 points 5+ rebounds and assists.

Junior Varsity Game (70-37 Arcadia won)

[player_tooltip player_id='3354402' first='Jalen' last='Knighton'] Arcadia

A scoring lead guard with a good feel for the game. He can make pinpoint passes thru the defense and will drive and kick it. He will score with deep threes, tough layups and mid-range pull-ups. He collects steals and he will be on varsity next year most likely. He finished with 12 points in limited minutes with the blow out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2689907' first='Matthew' last='McGadney'] Arcadia

A bigger combo guard plays on and off the ball seamlessly. He did not score a lot but filled the stat sheet with steals, rebounds in and out of his area and he is a good passer in traffic racking up assists. He scores with downhill takes using his frame.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869831' first='Matthew' last='Draper'] Arcadia

An undersized scoring lead guard is a smart passer who moves the ball but he likes to score it. He will get downhill with his left or right hand after he hesitates to the basket. He shoots the three off the catch and he is crafty around the basket. He finished with 12+ points.

[player_tooltip player_id='3472632' first='Kasen' last='Broeker'] Cactus Shadows

A big strong post player with some rare size. He is a strong two-handed rebounder who can control the glass in his area. He moves up the court fairly well and sets very steady picks. He scores it around the rim effectively with decent post footwork and looks to play on varsity sooner rather then later.

Varsity Game (81-56 Arcadia won)

[player_tooltip player_id='1986845' first='Mason' last='Kendrick'] Arcadia

A scoring guard filled it up with 31 points and went over 1,000 points in his career in fine fashion. He scored it every way possible with threes off the catch, euro steps, lobs, coast to coast dunks, off the glass jumpers, ball fakes with and-1's and post ups. He also made some nice passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2315516' first='Max' last='Straus'] Arcadia

The senior scoring point is a steady performer. He scores it with quick downhill takes, mid-range jumpers, threes off the catch and he will hesitate and get to the rim. He collects steals and will lay it in. He scored 18 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767903' first='Jacobi' last='Thompson II'] Arcadia

A high flying defensive two-way point forward made his money on this night on defense. He slows down his opponents about as well as you can moving his feet swiftly and using his twitch and long arms. He will collect steals, block shots and rebound. He is a good passer and will score with tough baseline takes and offensive rebound put backs. He scored 8 points and was invaluable on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2164464' first='William' last='Heinrichs'] Arcadia

A bigger combo guard filled in for the injured [player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] admirably. He has good size and comes with skill. He will move the ball and gets open to free himself up to shoot it. He has deep three point range and a quicker trigger and rattled in three triples for 9 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2689934' first='Braden' last='Baldwin'] Arcadia

Another good sized guard plays more of the off guard role and is looking to score. He likes working inside and on the glass. He will score with and-1 takes with either hand and had a couple traffic takes and trips to the free throw line. He scored 9 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506524' first='Colin' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows

A high motored freshman plays with super high energy. He is extremely fast and twitchy and can cover a lot of ground on defense. He will score with transition takes, euro steps, threes off the catch and downhill takes. He will take charges and has a different gear then most. He scored a team high 13 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2677972' first='Jack' last='Gaston'] Cactus Shadows

An undersized scoring lead guard plays some on or off the ball. He comes with a sneaky quick burst to get downhill and he can shoot it from the three point line off the catch or pull. He earns trips to the free throw line and scored 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133646' first='Myles' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows

The top dog of the team guides them nightly and he will score. He changes speeds well to get downhill and has a super tight handle to get past his defenders. He uses floaters, he can make tough layups and get to the free throw line. He is active on defense and will block shots. He scored 7 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2623495' first='Riley' last='Haggerty'] Cactus Shadows

A thicker framed guard can play a little on the ball or on the wing for the Falcons. The lefty has a pretty looking shooting stroke from the three point line and shoots it from mid-range. He is crafty and can lay it in with tough takes and comes into the game looking to score. He finished with 9 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412232' first='Terrell' last='Fair II'] Cactus Shadows

A two-way tough shooting guard can defend and play multiple positions. He uses his long wingspan and speed on defense to slow down his opponents. He will score with contested euros, spin moves and the lefty will shoot it with mid-range pull-ups. He scored 5 points.

On Tuesday February 3rd I watched the match-up of 4A Arcadia Titans hosting the 4A Cactus Shadows Falcons.
