We take a look at six under the radar players from the Hampton Roads area for college coaches and scouts to make a priority this summer on the grassroots circuit.

Barnhart has had one of the best high school careers so far of any player in the 757, and is a player coaches should be prioritizing early in the summer. He's a super high IQ and fundamentally sound guard who can run the offense, he scores it efficiently from multiple levels, and he has great instincts on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2377992' first='Micaiah' last='Mitchell'] | 6'7” PF | 2027

Mitchell is a player we've watched get better and better over the years, meaning coaches should be getting eyes on him to see the progress and upside. He's a big body in the paint with soft touch and the ability to finish through contact, he can clog the lane and is very good at challenging shots, and he continues to improve his range to stretch the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='3275747' first='Kyrei' last='Haywood'] | 6'8” PF | 2027

Haywood is a super intriguing prospect for coaches to watch this summer, as he's a freak athlete for a player his size and is just scratching the surface with how good he can be. He runs the floor like a gazelle and plays above the rim with authority, he has good perimeter skills to take defenders off the bounce, and he's a force in the paint for defenders to deal with.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470557' first='Dean' last='Williams'] | 6'4” SG | 2027

Williams has really come into his own with his first fully healthy season so far in high school as he's put up huge numbers this season, and will be able to show his total scoring package this summer. The smooth lefty shoots it well off the catch from deep, he is able to get to spots and use his size to make difficult shots in the midrange, and he has gotten much more explosive to play above the rim too.

Nate Lessley | 6'6” PF | 2027

Lessley is one of the biggest mismatch problems you'll find in the 2027 class, as the 6'6” forward can score it in a variety of ways and still has a lot of room to develop too. The smooth lefty can play on the ball and get downhill or to spots in the midrange, he can knock down shots on the move from deep, and he's a good athlete who can finish above the rim and make plays defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918891' first='Legend' last='Bunch'] | 6'2” PG | 2028

Bunch is set to have a breakout summer coming after this big sophomore season he's had, and he's one of the best floor generals to watch moving forward. The 6'2” guard has great feel and control of the game, he can create in ball screens and makes great reads, and he scores the ball efficiently off the bounce in a lot of different ways including his in the gym range from deep.
