Very springy and energetic, often times outworking the opponent to get a basket. Had a decent handle that enabled him to get to the basket. Basir used his strong frame to shield the defense on route to the cup. Solid defensive play in the paint and in the passing lanes. Got to the lane with a burst of speed and strength that no defender could contain. Would've liked to see him make more jumpers but he showed the confidence to let them fly. This created a nice flow to his game and kept defenders on their heels. Looked above his level while actually playing UP a level with the 8th graders. Had a steady handle on the ball, getting to his spots efficiently off the dribble. Boyd attacked the basket well and finished strong at the cup. Proved he could make shots from outside the paint as well. He was a constant energy-bringer every time he was on the floor and never went outside of what made him successful.
