We recently published of our first draft of the 2029 class rankings, with 60 players ranked across the state. Here's a look at part two of the prospects in the Northern VA area in the rankings.

#38) [player_tooltip player_id='3539417' first='Dajon' last='Doss'] | 5'8” PG | Highland School

Highland was one of the best teams in the state this year, so Doss only saw spot minutes in the important games, but he's definitely being molded to take the reigns in the next few years. While he's only 5'8” he's still growing and is lightning quick off the bounce with the ability to get in the lane at will, he is dynamite in transition with his speed and finishing ability, he has good vision and playmaking ability, and he is a very good on ball defender too.

#40) [player_tooltip player_id='3539419' first='Paul' last='Balistrere'] | 6'0” PG | Langley

Balistrere had a very good freshman season, and moving forward he could become one of the top shooting point guards in the NOVA area. He had spurts this year where his ability to knock down shots changed games for them, he sets his feet quickly on the move and has a quick release, he moves well off the ball and reads screens, and he can make plays for others when defenses try to take away his shooting.

#45) [player_tooltip player_id='3539427' first='Carter' last='Norris'] | 6'5” PF | St. Stephen's St. Agnes

Norris was a standout freshman in the NOVA area, as he got better throughout the year and eventually earned more and more time becoming a big contributor to SSSAS down the stretch. He's an intriguing prospect who will be one to watch as he continues to grow as he has a high motor and brings toughness on the defensive end, he can score it in the paint and can stretch the floor from deep, and as he continues to develop he has all the tools to be a mismatch four man.

#48) [player_tooltip player_id='3539433' first='Maina' last='Nkafu'] | 6'1” PG | Bishop Ireton

Nkafu played spot minutes for an Ireton team where he was playing behind and learning from some very talented upperclassmen guards, and he showed flashes of being able to get to that level moving forward. He bought into his role and played with a great motor every time he was on the floor, he showed great defensive instincts and the ability to guard the ball the length of the floor, he showed good decision and playmaking ability, and all of those are good traits moving forward.

#51) [player_tooltip player_id='2564305' first='Malachi' last='Hawkins'] | 5'6” PG | John Champe

Hawkins may be one of the smaller players on this list, but that didn't stop him from appearing in almost every game for Champe this year due to his all-around skillset and ability to make plays. He's a pest on the defensive end with the ability to pick up and turn ball handlers and force turnovers, he can get in the paint and make plays in ball screens, and he picks his spots and can score it from all three levels.

#53) [player_tooltip player_id='3539437' first='Jonathan' last='Paschal'] | 6'6” PF | Potomac School

Paschal is one to watch at Potomac School, as he's learning from multiple division one front court players who are older and he shows signs of being a versatile player moving forward. At 6'6” he already has good size and should continue to grow and fill out over the years, he has good footwork and uses fakes and counters to create space, he has good touch with both hands and makes his free throws at a good clip, and his willingness to accept a role and do the little things to help his team win is encouraging.

#54) [player_tooltip player_id='3539440' first='Morgan' last='Nwosu'] | 6'7” C | Forest Park

Nwosu is a player who will have a real chance to shoot up these rankings moving forward, as he already has impressive size and a good skillset for a player his age. He runs the floor well and attacks the offensive glass for easy buckets, he rebounds well and uses his length to challenge shots in the paint, he has good touch around the rim, and he's likely still growing into his body.

#57) [player_tooltip player_id='3539471' first='Connor' last='Reeves'] | 6'0” SG | Marshall-Falls Church

Reeves found ways to get on the floor for a very talented Marshall team this year, and he is looking like a guy they want to develop into a go-to guy moving forward. He has great defensive instincts with the ability to guard the ball and shoot the passing lane, he's a good athlete who will get more explosive as he continues to grow, he can knock down open shots from deep, and he simply plays the game the right way.
