He's a long guard, stronger than he looks, exploded for a career high 50 points in the lopsided win. He showed the many ways he can get a bucket. Fast and strong attacking in transition, going up high for buckets around the rim including dunks. At 6'3 he has the hops to go get lobs. He can get his own shot off the dribble, hit the paint jumper.

Game 2) Lodi 45, Grant 36

Player of the Game: 6'5 2026 Forward [player_tooltip player_id='3364755' first='Jonas' last='Currington'] from Lodi

He's a newcomer and key contributor on this team averaging 8.5 points, 9.2 rebound per game this season. He had good activity in the post area getting most of his points in the paint, turning and taking it up strong in traffic, and working the board for put back points. He held his own defending bigger players in the post. 13pts, 4 offensive rebounds, 9 total.

A new comer, long arm shooting guard still growing, and filling his frame. He's the teams leading scorer at 14.7, while collecting almost 5 rebounds a game. He'll knock down 3's if left open, he had 3 go down for him in this game. He's fast getting out in transition spotting up or finishing at the rim. He can handle, push, pass in transition. He's a long arm defender moves his feet. 15pts

Game 4) Weston Ranch 85, Christian Brothers 72

Player of the Game: 6'3 Unsigned Sr. Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2755801' first='Romello' last='Bruhn'] from Weston Ranch

After the 30 day sit for transferring to a more competitive environment. Bruhn wasted little time showing us he can put points on the board. In 9 games this season he's averaging 26.7. At this event he scored 32pts, knocking down 4-3's. He's a shot maker with handles, can split the defense, with different ways to generate a bucket. He's working a bit under the radar. He has some tools to work with.

Game 5) Lincoln, Stockton 66, Natomas 64

Player of the Game: 6'4 Unsigned Sr. Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2089524' first='Jagger' last='Merolla'] from Lincoln, Stockton

The experienced guard leads the Trojans in scoring 19.8, while getting his share of rebounds 6.5 battling inside. He's improved his guard skills away from the basket. He goes hard along the perimeter, and in transition. He gets into the paint for jumpers, takes it up strong in traffic, plays through contact. He scored 25 points.

Game 6) Sacramento 69, Woodcreek 59

Player of the Game: 6'8 Freshman G/F [player_tooltip player_id='3139804' first='William' last='Phillips'] from Sacramento High School.

You can make the case he's a 6'8 guard the way he handles the ball. He likes to rebound and go fast up court, mostly under control. He'll pass it up, or go coast to coast if there's an opening. He can get into the paint with a burst for hard to block jumpers, or challenge blockers at the rim. He's hard to guard in space, can pull for the mid-range, has 3-point range. He's a top 5 Freshman in NorCal, can go higher. 21pts.

Game 7) Sheldon 86, Pleasant Valley 49

Player of the Game: 6'5 2027 Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2613096' first='Baron' last='Sabir'] from Sheldon

Sabir is ranked at #12. He's making the case to go higher with the numbers he's putting up this season 24.3pts a game. He's having a breakout season. His efficiency in shooting the 3-point shot takes his game to another level. There's no question he can knock down 3's way behind the line. He's a strong player with good handles to get into the paint and score. He's a underrated defender. He's scored 30-points four times, hit 40 once. Consistent shot making is key.

Game 8) Modesto Christian 66, Folsom 64

Player of the Game: 6'6 2027 Shooting Guard/Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2215149' first='Trevor' last='Dickson'] from Modesto Christian

He's carried the load in the first half of the season averaging 20.8 pts, 4.5 rebs, while sharpening his ball handling and decision making. He's working mostly off ball now knocking down 3's and dropping tough to make fade away mid-range jumpers with a hand in face. He went for 22pts, 5-3's. Recently picked up an offer from Stanford.
