SD: Vermillion vs Madison

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prephoops went back and looked at this game that was built up to be a matchup between two teams with alot of talent and serious contenders. This game ultimately down to just one of those games that every coach and player dreads but will just for whatever reason happen from time to time. It had nothing to do with effort/energy/not being prepared or anything other then a bad night for one team and a near perfect night in every way for the other team. We will go over some of the game and then dive into player notes from this contest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was clear from the start that the reffs were not gonna decide this game as they let the player's play. It was a very physical game from the start as player's from both teams learned quickly they were gonna get to play a very fast and intense game. Madison started off with a quick flurry nocking down a couple shots and attacking the basket to get out to a small lead. Vermillion quickly settled in to there own game on both ends of the floor and came right back going on a run of there own to take the lead and a lead they were never relinquish the rest of the game. Both teams played very hard defensively and with alot of energy. First quarter ended with Vermillion up 16-12 and that was the closest this game was from here on out. Vermillion went on a run like I haven't seen in some time outscoring Madison 25-3 in the second quarter to say they were on 🔥 would be an understatement. It wasn't because of bad defense/lack of energy or getting beat for fast break points Vermillion absolutely could not miss! At halftime the score was 41-15. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The second half started off the same way as Vermillion went on a 10-2 run which all but bit the game outta reach. All the Vermillion stars showed up and had monster games either scoring/assisting or steals in this one, as the starters soon were taking out of the game and didnt play at all in the 4th. I give Madison alot of credit for not just giving up or packing it in on a night like this they played hard the whole way through but it just wasn't there night.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!--
