Each week during the high school season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin and Zaleski Sports will select boys' basketball teams of the week across the WIAA's five divisions. Here are this week's honored squads.

DIVISION 1 ... MADISON MEMORIAL
Madison Memorial improved to 15-2 with a pair of wins last week. The Spartans helped to forge a three-way tie for first place in the Big Eight Conference on Wednesday with a convincing 74-49 win over visiting Middleton. Coach Steve Collins, who recently notched his 500th career coaching victory, then ended the week with a league win at Madison West. Through 10 league games, Madison Memorial, Middleton and Verona all have 9-1 league marks. Against Middleton, senior wing Anderw Braun had a big game, scoring a team-best 23 points while also coming up with three steals and blocking three shots. Senior guard Anthony Miller Anthony Miller Anthony Miller 6'0" | SG Madison Memorial | 2026 State WI , a four-year varsity performer for the Spartans, added 14 points and two three-point baskets while senior Caleb Liggon Caleb Liggon Caleb Liggon 6'5" | SG/PG Madison Memorial | 2026 State WI led the way on the glass with eight rebounds. Madison Memorial returns to action this week with a game at Sun Prairie West on Wednesday.

DIVISION 2 ... RIVER FALLS
Moving into first place in the Big Rivers Conference standings with league wins over Rice Lake and Menomonie, River Falls improved to 10-4 overall and 6-1 in league play, one half game ahead of second-place Hudson. Four players scored in double figures in a 75-44 win over Rice Lake -- Brody Graetz Brody Graetz Brody Graetz 6'2" | PG/SG River Falls | 2026 State WI with 17, Austin Stellrecht Austin Stellrecht River Falls | 2026 WI with 14, Cal DuMond Cal DuMond 6'4" | SF WI with 12 and Tanner Bottolfson Tanner Bottolfson River Falls | 2026 WI with 12. The Wildcats played a very good game in their 67-46 win over Menomonie as they handed the Mustangs their fourth loss in 14 games. Graetz again led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Stellrecht added a double/double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Games with Chippewa Falls (Thursday) and Mahtomedi, Minn. (Friday) await River Falls this week.

DIVISION 3 ... ALTOONA
The Rails remained one game behind Osceola and St. Croix Central in the Middle Border Conference standings by posting a league win over Ellsworth on Thursday. Altoona, which also had a non-league win over Medford last Tuesday, now is 9-3 overall and 4-2 in the Middle Border. Against Ellsworth, junior guard Graysen Becker Graysen Becker Graysen Becker 6'2" | PG/SG Altoona | 2027 State WI torched the Tigers with 44 points on 15-of-19 shooting, including a remarkable 9-of-10 from three-point range. Becker also had eight rebounds in the contest while teammate Jacob Kelbel Jacob Kelbel Jacob Kelbel 5'10" | PG Altoona | 2029 WI added 12 points on the strength of four three-point baskets. In the 82-70 victory over Medford, Becker again led the way with 31 points while junior Owen Gunderson Owen Gunderson Owen Gunderson 6'0" | SG/PG Altoona | 2027 State WI added 24 points and Kelbel had 10. The Rails have a busy week with games against Somerset (Tuesday), Baldwin-Woodville (Friday) and Northwestern (Saturday).

DIVISION 4 ... CEDAR GROVE

Oostburg and Sheboygan Lutheran garner most of the headlines in the Big East South Conference, but Cedar Grove has another strong squad in its own right. The Rockets posted wins over Kohler and St. Mary's Springs last week to improve to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in league play. Although still two games behind Oostburg in the standings, Cedar Grove could prove to be a very difficult out once the playoffs get underway in March. Against Kohler, Cedar Grove registered a 68-62 victory behind 21 points from Carter Schmitz Carter Schmitz Cedar Grove-Belgium | 2026 WI , 18 from Griffin Knight Griffin Knight Cedar Grove-Belgium | 2027 WI and 15 from Owen Gulke Owen Gulke Owen Gulke 6'1" | CG Cedar Grove-Belgium | 2026 State WI . Knight added 11 rebounds while senior Thomas Wiesner Thomas Wiesner Thomas Wiesner 6'4" | SF Cedar Grove-Belgium | 2026 WI had 11 points and nine rebounds. The Rockets had little trouble in their 63-41 road win over St. Mary's Springs on Saturday. Cedar Grove is slated to play Campbellsport and Kewaskum this week before hosting Oostburg in a huge league game on February 3.

DIVISION 5 ... CATHOLIC CENTRAL
Wins have been few and far between over the last few seasons for Catholic Central. The Hilltoppers won just five games last season and only one two years ago. First-year coach Dan Meddaugh has guided Catholic Central to four wins thus far and has the Hilltoppers playing some very competitive basketball. Even in several losses, Catholic Central has been very competitive, losing to Messmer 84-83, Brookfield Academy 69-68 and Heritage Christian 54-49 in recent weeks. In a Midwest Classic Conference win over Kenosha Christian Life Saturday, the Hilltoppers registered a 69-41 win behind 25 points from junior wing Sam Fait Sam Fait Sam Fait 6'4" | CG Catholic Central | 2027 State WI . Now in his third year of varsity play, Fait became the school's all-time leading scorer in the win over Kenosha Christian as he has now scored 1,467, breaking the previous mark of 1,451 set by Ben Heiligenthal. Fait is averaging 29.0 ppg for the 4-12 Hilltoppers.
