A scoring sensation from the Milwaukee City Conference, Thorpe putting up huge numbers for the Cardinals of Milwaukee South. He went for 40 points in a recent loss to Waukesha North and added 33 in a one-point setback to Fort Atkinson. He is in constant attack mode with the ball in his hands and he gets where he wants on the floor off the bounce due to his shiftiness, quickness and confidence. He scores in the lane over taller defenders with a quick release. Thorpe uses the hesitation dribble to keep defenders off balance and then zooms into the lane to score or draw fouls. He also plays with solid court vision to go along with his penchant for getting to the basket.

Still a work in progress, Rommelfanger's biggest contributions to the upstart Adams-Friendship basketball team this winter has been his intimidating presence on defense and his work on the glass. The lanky 6-foot-8 post player is still growing into his body, but he is able to prevent opponents from scoring at will in the paint due to his length and shot blocking/shot altering ability. Rommelfanger is averaging 6.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots for the Green Devils, who have won seven of 13 games under coach Keith Bork.

A versatile backcourt player who has been instrumental in Milwaukee School of Languages winning seven of 12 outings, Hassan can score, defend and play different positions. He is able to get around defenders with his length and quick burst, and he can finish well over taller defenders in the lane. Hassan opened with three three-point baskets, but after drilling perimeter jumpers early, he opted to drive the ball the rest of the way with good results. He made 10-of-13 foul shots en route to scoring 31 points for MSOL in a season-opening loss to East Troy.

Size is a valuable commodity on the basketball court. Size combined with skill is an even bigger plus. Retic has both of those attributes and he has performed well thus far this season for Golda Meir after transferring to the school from Kenosha Reuther over the summer. He is averaging 14.9 ppg on a squad that is 9-2 and also features standout backcourt performers [player_tooltip player_id='2496089' first='Kaleb' last='Colbert'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2610565' first='Daniel' last='Spears']. Retic had 28 points in a recent game against Milwaukee School of Languages and 26 in an outing against Milwaukee Washington.

Sickler has helped East Troy to a 9-3 record and a lofty standing in the Rock Valley Conference. His size, athleticism and aggressiveness on the glass and on defense are vitally important for the Trojans. Sickler is a player on the rise in the 2027 class as he has grown some over the past two seasons and continues to advance his game with his strong work ethic. He is one to keep an eye on over the next six months in a loaded 2027 class.

Playing on a state-ranked team and alongside one of the better backcourt players in the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League in senior [player_tooltip player_id='2551616' first='Aiden' last='Keleher'], Splinter has blossomed as a junior starter for the Wildcats. Helping his team to an 11-2 record, Splinter can play either guard position and has become a dependable scorer and defender for coach Clint Nemitz. Southwestern plays a difficult schedule against several WIAA Division 4 schools and that rugged competition figures to help Splinter and the Wildcats as we move into the playoffs come March.

One of the biggest surprises in the Classic Eight Conference, Medina is averaging a team-best 21.9 points per game for coach Jay Benish at Oconomowoc. He had a career game earlier in the season when he went for 49 points in a victory over Mukwonago. He also had 25 in a loss to Fort Atkinson. Medina is a combination guard who is tough to defend off the dribble. He can get to the basket and to the foul line on a consistent basis for Oconomowoc. He also has a three-point jump shot he can call on to keep defenders off balance.
