Both are deep teams with high-end talent and plenty of youth. Rossview's senior guard<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2352383' first='JiYair' last='Rose']</strong> is the elder statesman of the district and could win District MVP. Northeast can not slow down anybody. The once proud program will probably win one maybe two district games out of the six possible.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Player of the Year</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2278560' first='Bryce' last='Garnett'], Kirkwood: </strong>A[player_tooltip player_id='2309002' first='Armani' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='2352383' first='JiYair' last='Rose'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2278560' first='Bryce' last='Garnett'] are the best players with [player_tooltip player_id='2523939' first='Israel' last='Dillard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2510498' first='Montavious' last='Clardy'] just behind. Bryce deserves our prediction because he does so many important things beyond scoring, which he does at an elite level. Garnett grew as a passer and a floor leader in the last year. He defends with quick hands and quick feet, but will get bullied anytime a guard backs him onto the block. [player_tooltip player_id='2309002' first='Armani' last='Smith'] and JiYair are bigger guards and might attract more college interest. Maybe not. The difference is efficiency. Jiyair shoots a lower percentage and lacks the three-point touch of Garnett.
