Florence Christian School vs Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach might not have been the flashiest matchup in the state on Tuesday, but it was an important matchup in SCISA Class 3A Region 3 with two of the league's top scorers going head-to-head. They lived up to the billing individually, but the game was also quite tight with FCS getting a look to win it at the buzzer. Check out these five eye-catchers from Tuesday night in Florence:

There aren't many Sophomores who have had a better first half of their season than [player_tooltip player_id='1998734' first='Ayden' last='Leith']. He went into the night averaging over 27 points per game and finished it with a 24-point game in a two-point road win over Florence Christian. When he wanted to be, Ayden was near-unstoppable in getting to the rim. The Eagles tried throwing different zones and matchups at Leith to contain him, but his strength through contact, handling around bodies, and comfort scoring in the paint capitalized on all the weaknesses in the opponent's defense.

On the other side of the floor, there was just as entertaining a scoring performance that came in a different way. Greene is another one of the top scorers in SCISA, but this was my first time seeing him in person. He didn't disappoint, going for 21 points, including several super tough baskets. Taylor has a pretty quick first step, plays off two feet in the lane, and has no problem getting jumpers up off the dribble at all three levels. The Saints switched to a zone that cut off a lot of Greene's driving lanes in the second half, but I still have no doubts that Taylor can really go and should get a bump up in the rankings.

Another intriguing Sophomore on the Christian Academy roster is McMullen. He showed his shooting ability in the first half with two catch-and-shoot threes, then in the second half did a little bit of everything else to help his team scratch out a win. Kellen has clean shot mechanics and stays shot-ready off the ball, while also making the extra pass and sharp cuts. McMullen was the guy the Saints trusted at the free-throw line late in the game, and while he wasn't perfect, he still hit some very important ones to keep his team ahead and eventually pick up a crucial win.

Similar to McMullen, Minton's shot-making was crucial to the flow and spacing of his team's offense. He was often the guy who the ball found when penetration was stopped, and he, too, knocked down two threes in Tuesday night's contest. Riley also converted on a mid-range jumper that gave Florence Christian a lead at the end of the third quarter, showing his full array of jump-shot making ability. He finished with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='3352712' first='Caden' last='Collins'] rounds out this group of eye-catchers from Christian Academy vs Florence Christian on Tuesday Night. Collins was the tallest player on the floor last night, checking in at 6'5". He used this height advantage well, cleaning the glass, finishing around the rim, and being a shot-blocking threat. Caden has a little bit of size to his frame, which makes battling inside the paint easier, but he also has some soft touch on his close-range shots. Collins totaled 4 points, 9 rebounds, and a block in the win.
