While you lock that in, we're shifting our focus to one of the strongest classes in the state — a group that's primed for major movement over the next few years. Hot starts have launched new names into the spotlight, while others are still building toward their breakthrough. This class is far from settled, and the board is already shifting. Here are some of the under-the-radar risers who we have our eyes on in the 2027 rankings update.

Stanley is a junior guard who is looking to make a play whenever the ball is in his hands. He's electric once he touches it and is as aggressive as they come. He had a breakout sophomore season and has doubled down on that to begin the season. He's putting up 14.3 points a game as a downhill attacker who can't be denied. He's a very good rebounder at 4 boards a game for his size, who keeps plays alive and the offense runs through him at times. We want to see a bit more of him in the summer and fall so that we're able to see just how good he is around other top players, but his ability to be a two-way menace has him on the rankings.

Davis is a prospect who had a solid sophomore campaign and has upped his numbers in every category, which is a testament to the work that he's put in over the summer. He's had a few explosive games to start the year, where he looked unstoppable. He's big, athletic, and uses that physicality to his advantage; now it is about doing that consistently. He's up to 12.5 points and 7 boards a game. The thing is, he could do even more, and I expect him to elevate his game in the second half of the season. He's a prospect to keep an eye on and we hope to see more of.

Classical Academy is a dark horse team to keep an eye on, who I feel has a chance to make some noise this season. Their best player has been [player_tooltip player_id='2120966' first='Trace' last='Cook'], who has made a jump to start the season. He's up to 13.3 points and 7.3 boards a game. He pushes the pace, is lethal with the ball in his hands, and takes what the defense is giving him. He is also aggressive and overpowers defenders at the rim for easy finishes. He's also proven to be a facilitator who keeps the ball popping, and that has made it difficult to stop this team, as he has weapons around him. He could make more of a rise with a solid finish to the year and showcasing himself this Summer/Fall in front of our scouts. We're high on Trace and feel he has what it takes to make an ever better jump soon.

Pueblo Centennial has been one of the more entertaining and fast-paced teams in the state and has some big-time scorers on the squad. One of those prospects has been 6'5 forward Zyere, who has been on an offensive heater as of late. He's putting up 13.9 points a game. He's shooting over 45% from beyond the arc, getting to his spots, and finishing in transition. He's also coming off of a stretch of games where he's put up 20+ points in three straight games and appears to be in an offensive groove. I expect more of that as he's found a zone, and for his teammates to feed him. He's a prospect to keep an eye on but is one of the bucket getters in this class.

Holy Family is 10-0 on the year and is getting the most out of their squad right now. They play with chemistry and the right way, and their style is contagious. One of their prospects who has stepped up is junior shooting guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2395351' first='Andrew' last='Ward']. Ward is an off-ball worker who has found a way to score. He's constantly moving, shoots the 3-ball, and gets out and running in transition. He's been a consistent scorer who rebounds hard, which allows second-chance opportunities and allows the team to get out and run. He's a versatile player who makes it easier for teammates and is the team's X-factor.
