Friday Standout Performers in Key Triad Conference Matchups

Friday night in the North Carolina Triad featured several high-level conference matchups, but two games in particular stood out: West Stokes vs. North Surry and Reidsville vs. Walkertown. Both contests were competitive throughout and ultimately decided late in the fourth quarter. In games where execution and composure mattered most, a number of players rose to the moment and delivered impactful performances on both ends of the floor.    Sechrist was the driving force behind West Stokes' win. He opened the game by knocking down shots from deep and continued to produce as a reliable three-level scorer throughout the night. He played with a high motor, consistently applying pressure as a quick guard capable of splitting defenders and creating offense when needed.     Clarke made a strong impact with his ability to stretch the floor offensively. He punished defensive help in the paint by knocking down shots from beyond the arc, connecting efficiently from three. His timely shooting in the first half helped West Stokes build momentum heading into the break and forced North Surry to adjust defensively in the second half, creating added space for his teammates.     Atkins kept North Surry within striking distance for much of the game and sparked a late push in the fourth quarter. He hit timely perimeter shots against West Stokes' zone coverage and made his presence felt on the glass. His shot-making and rebounding helped fuel North Surry's late-game run.     Grady impacted the game through effort and physicality, doing whatever was needed to help his team compete. He was active on both ends of the floor, rebounding consistently, drawing charges, and protecting the rim with timely blocks. Offensively, he finished plays through contact and brought toughness to the paint.     Autry provided a steady, physical presence for Walkertown. He scored effectively at all three levels and showed a knack for tracking down rebounds outside his area. Defensively, he stayed disciplined, keeping his man in front and contesting without fouling.     Daniels made defenses pay for helping off him throughout the game, knocking down multiple shots from the perimeter. He was dependable as a ball handler, handled pressure well, and made sound decisions with the ball, providing stability in the backcourt.     Neal delivered another strong performance as expected, showcasing his ability to manage pressure and lead his team. He consistently handled double teams, made good decisions with the ball, and repeatedly got into the paint to finish through traffic. His play was instrumental in Reidsville's comeback win after trailing into the fourth quarter.     Cauthen made a significant impact in the second half, creating and producing opportunities for his team down the stretch. He attacked the paint, set up open teammates for scores, and knocked down outside shots. His contributions were a key factor in Reidsville closing out the win over Walkertown.
