[player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] - The 2027 six-foot-eight-inch wing from Mahtomedia went for 40 plus again Friday night this time versus Two Rivers. The junior scored 43 points in the 72-54 win as Roelofs is proving on a consistent basis he's a tough handle for Minnesota high school forwards. Roelofs is just too tall, moves too well laterally, and shoots well enough he's finding great success.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126447' first='Briggs' last='Sheridan'] - Sheridan is a six-foot-nine-inch 2027 forward from Farmington that led them past Eastview Friday 68-62 scoring 21 points. Sheridan has good footwork in the post, and his shooting ability from mid-range to beyond the 3-pointer arc make him a scoring threat on nearly every touch he gets.

Maple Grove Beats Edina in OT 76-73

[player_tooltip player_id='1960892' first='Henry' last='Knutson'] - The 2026 senior scored 17 and hit the biggest shot of the game to send the game to OT. Knutson at the 2nd half buzzer nailed a pull-up 3-pointer to push the game to overtime. The six-foot-four-inch guard is a good secondary creator and can handle the ball when needed. Knutson will do anything for the team.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qOdkXxkKZwM

[player_tooltip player_id='2126467' first='Baboucarr' last='Ann'] - The top ranked 2027 Minnesota prospect Ann scored 28 points to lead Maple Grove versus Edina. Ann is a six-foot-five-inch guard that through December 29th was averaging 20 points per game for the Crimson. Ann started to make the transition to a guard in the summer before his sophomore year and hasn't looked back. The Crimson guard makes shots off the dribble, spotted-up, in transition and any other way that's possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin'] - The six-foot-seven-inch 2027 wing from Edina Cronin scored 32 points Friday night versus Maple Grove. The 2027 Edina wing through January 5th was averaging 20.4 points and 7.2 rebounds. Cronin has improved with the ball in hands on the wing and putting the ball on the floor and pairing that with his leaping ability has made him more dangerous in the half-court.

https://twitter.com/vincent_cronin4/status/2008076092993851405

Buffalo Beats Hopkins 88-84

[player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle'] - Hegle led Buffalo with 31 points Friday in a big win for the Bison. The 2028 six-foot-two-inch guard is hard not to talk about especially with the Bison improving to 12-1 on the season. Hegle doesn't ever seem to be sped-up offensively with the ball. He also moves the ball exceptionally well, and holds his own defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397563' first='Thomas' last='Jordan'], a fellow 2028 sophomore scored 17 points while 2027 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2126866' first='Matthew' last='Jordan'] scored 14 and his twin Tony Jordan scored 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2491720' first='Alex' last='Stueven'] - Stueven a 2027 guard from NLWW hit 8 triples on his way to a 40 point game Tuesday night versus Norwood Young America. Friday night versus Rockford the junior scored 36 points for Howard Lake Waverly-Winstead in a 73-64 win. The six-foot-two-inch junior has scored at least 22 points in 5 games.

https://twitter.com/i/status/2012416254846337216

[player_tooltip player_id='2423114' first='Lincoln' last='Busse'] - Busse scored 44 the other night, and how do you follow one 44 point game up? The six-foot-two-inch 2027 junior hit 44 again versus Watertown-Mayer in a 90-71 win.

https://twitter.com/streethistory/status/2013050558853103864

[player_tooltip player_id='2121332' first='Deron' last='Russell'] - The six-foot-one-inch 2026 Russell who caught everyone's attention at State last night (I wrote about Deron multiple times before, just saying), followed up his earlier this season 44 point game versus New Ulm with 34 points to lead Waseca over New Ulm 84-69 Friday night. Waseca, who lost 4 of their first 5 games seems to have figured some things out as they are now 8-5. Russell is a fantastic athlete who is already committed to South Dakota State for football and is looking to get Waseca basketball back to state.

https://twitter.com/DeronRussell21/status/1997483943784849505

Other Notes:

3 Minnesota boys teams broke 112 points or more Friday night. Robbinsdale Armstrong scored 112 in a win versus Minneapolis Roosevelt, Wayzata 115 points in a win over STMA, and Liberty Classical scored 129 points versus North Lakes. 2026 senior for Liberty [player_tooltip player_id='2842383' first='Sam' last='Rupnow'] scored 32 points.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/stBI2AUo_t4

Willie Roelofs Willie Roelofs Willie Roelofs 6'8" | PF/SF Mahtomedi | 2027 State MN - The 2027 six-foot-eight-inch wing from Mahtomedia went for 40 plus again Friday night this time versus Two Rivers. The junior scored 43 points in the 72-54 win as Roelofs is proving on a consistent basis he's a tough handle for Minnesota high school forwards. Roelofs is just too tall, moves too well laterally, and shoots well enough he's finding great success.
