Semi-Final day at The John Wall Holiday Invitational always delivers. As the stakes get larger, so does the energy in the building and it translates directly to the players on the floor. We've already gone through the entirety of day one and two, with the start of day three already posted here on the site! Without further delay, let's take a look at the standouts from the middle portion of Day Three!

Now a member of the 2027 class, [player_tooltip player_id='2840610' first='Jeremiah' last='Franklin'] has emerged as one of that classes most reliable producers here in NC, and he'll get rewarded with that rankings update soon. Franklin helped lead the Ambassador Christian domination over Millbrook, leading the charge with 22 Points, 6 Rebounds, and 2 Assists. He did all of that while shooting 9-12 from the floor for an incredibly efficient outing. Franklin's ability to play on the ball with his strength make him a real weapon offensively. He's a constant threat on both backboards, using his physicality to overpower smaller perimeter players in that aspect of the game. Franklin is one of my favorite players in the state to watch and should continue to garner attention from coaches that value real two way production.

Despite the loss from Millbrook, [player_tooltip player_id='2415282' first='Josh' last='Conti'] showed his value by pouring in 22 Points and 4 Rebounds on 10-17 from the floor and 2-2 from beyond the arc. Conti's outside touch for a big is tremendous and it allows him to showcase his versatile inside/out game. His floor spacing allows Millbrook's crew of guards and wings to operate with great spacing. He's shown tremendous progress in improving his physique which has allowed him to play big minutes at high usage for this Millbrook team. Great low/mid post game, can pick or pop, and not a guy that is going to force a bunch of bad looks. Conti has reliable hands in traffic and should start to show more athleticism as the body continues to improve. On a day with limited bright spots for Millbrook, Conti found a way to shine bright.

Miller has made the move over to Ambassador Christian and fit in with this group right away. He was looking for structure and they were able to add a really high quality piece to their front-court. Miller finished with 10 Points, 10 Rebounds, 3 Assists, and 2 Blocks to stuff the stat sheet in the win over Millbrook. Supplemental production and physicality are two incredibly valuable things to a team with a lot of talent on it, Miller provides exactly that for this group. Very comfortable in the middle of the floor, capable of finishing through contact, and a guy that sees the floor very well in multiple spots. 4 of his 6 rebounds were on the offensive end and he was a very efficient 4-6 from the floor. Miller should only get more and more comfortable with this group and see his stock rise because of it.

When a kid is this self aware and this talented, the result is simply elite. Devaughn Dorrough is exactly that. In a win over Wilson (SC) Dorrough delivered one of the most complete games we've seen a kid have in this event this year. He finished with 23 Points, 9 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 2 Steals, and 2 Blocks. All of that was on 10-12 from the floor and 3-4 from the line, he did not attempt a three. Dorrough is one of the best at the rim finishers I've seen at this size/age. He's an incredibly aware player at both ends of the floor, elite at placing himself off the ball after a screen right in that soft spot of the defense. He glides through the air to finish at the rim with either hand all while having a super reliable back to the basket game with multiple go to moves/counters. Dorrough helped lead Coronado to championship game berth with one of the best performances in all of the 2025 John Wall. A true front-court weapon with an old school game that is more than translatable to the modern game.

Addison is a smooth and confident perimeter player with a ton of shot making ability and a great athletic foundation. In the loss vs Coronado, Addison was able to provide a real spark to his team that almost helped them knock off the public school power from Vegas. Addison is capable of doing a lot of things but the shot-making and energy on the defensive end are where he makes most of his contributions. He finished with 12 Points on 5-9 shooting form the floor with 2 of his 5 attempts from beyond the arc falling for him. [player_tooltip player_id='1486211' first='Josh' last='Leonard'] gets a lot of headlines with this group and deservedly so, Addison deserves some love too, because he looks like a real next level prospect that is also helping this group win games right now.
