These are prospects that, for whatever reason, are making their first appearance in the New England rankings for the Class of 2028.

The top ranked newcomer in this update is the MacDuffie School's [player_tooltip player_id='2634171' first='Darien' last='Rudder'], who checks into the rankings at #14. Rudder is a talented lead guard that does a great job of getting downhill off the bounce, creating easy scoring opportunities for his teammates, and scoring it himself in catch and shoot situations from behind the arc.

Below, we'll take a look at five more Newcomers from this rankings update.

Rogers, a guard out of the Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #17. Rogers has gotten off to a hot start in his first season in New England, playing with impressive offensive versatility as a scorer. He has the quickness to get to the rim off the bounce and the athleticism to finish with authority once he gets there, while also impressing with his shot making in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, his lateral fluidity and length allow him to make a number of plays in passing lanes.

Colagrossi, a guard out of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #25. The 6'3" guard really knows how to score the basketball, particularly off the bounce, showing the ability to make contested shots in the mid-range and to finish around the rim with a high level of creativity. What stands out the most might be his floor vision and passing instincts. He does a great job of delivering passes on time and on target, and does so both when stationary with two hands and on the move with one.

Johnson, a wing out of St. Raphael Academy in Rhode Island, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #38. The 6'4" wing, currently out due to injury, popped on our radar this summer with his fluid offensive game and versatility on the defensive end of the floor. He plays at his own speed with the ball in his hands, shows the ability to score out of isolations, and can operate as a creator in the half court. Defensively, he can guard a variety of positions, makes plays in passing lanes, and does a nice job of contributing on the glass.

Fernandez, a forward out of Great Barrington Academy in Rhode Island, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #82. A massive prospect in this class, Fernandez does a great job of playing to his strengths and doing his best to own the paint. Offensively, he has good footwork on the block and the ability to turn over either shoulder as a scorer. His motor continues to develop, particularly as a two-way rebounder, and he also shows the ability to protect the rim by blocking and altering a high number of shots.

Brainis, a guard out of the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #85. The lead guard is a creative ball-handler that does a nice job of making reads out of ball screens, knows how to finish over size around the rim, and can quickly change speeds and directions as a driver. On top of that, he does a nice job of finding teammates in scoring positions off of his drives. Defensively, he competes at the point of attack and is often the first to the floor for loose balls.
