There have been a lot of players taking the junior jump this season, and many of them being guards who are a bit overlooked for one reason or another. Here's a look at six wings from the Northern VA area that are on the come up and coaches should take a look at!

[player_tooltip player_id='2548309' first='Masyn' last='Miller'] | 6'3” SG | Heritage-Leesburg

Miller has been putting up big numbers on a loaded Heritage squad team that looks primed to be a contender in the postseason, and while they have a balanced attack he's the guy who is showing he can be the guy when they need it. The 6'3” off guard is a lights out shooter from deep with good range and a quick release, he sets up screens well and has great footwork coming off of them to make shots on the move, and he can get downhill and finish at the rim or draw contact to get to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815378' first='Trey' last='Lonardo'] | 6'4” SF | George Marshall

Lonardo has been nothing short of fantastic for Marshall this year, building on a solid sophomore season and continuing to improve to become one of the top scoring wings in NOVA public schools. The 6'4” wing is a true scorer who understands and takes advantage of mismatches, he can score it off the catch from deep or attack off the bounce, he posts smaller defenders and is a good offensive rebounder, and he does a great job finishing with both hands through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='2760984' first='Timothy' last='Allen Crank'] | 6'2” SG | Bethel Regional

Crank has been on a tear since transferring from John Paul to Bethel over the offseason, as he's quietly been putting up big numbers for their high school regional team. The 6'2” off guard plays with a great motor on both ends and does all the little things to help his team win, he can score the ball off the bounce and off the catch from multiple levels, he has great fundamentals using fakes and pivots to create space, and he is super consistent and productive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353645' first='Tyler' last='Kim'] | 6'3” SG | Langley

Kim is having a great junior season for Langley, as he's been a consistent scoring threat and has continued to become more confident and aggressive for them. The 6'3” off guard is a lights out shooter who works well off the ball to get open, he runs the floor in transition and jumps passing lanes for easy buckets, and he can get to spots off the bounce and make tough shots at the rim and in the midrange.

[player_tooltip player_id='3275779' first='Jordan' last='Garland'] | 6'3” SG | Heritage-Leesburg

Garland is an up and coming prospect for a very good team in Heritage, and he has had a great season so far for them. The 6'3” wing has a great frame and is able to use his strength when he gets downhill to finish through traffic, he's a big time athlete in transition, he knocks down open shots consistently, and he has all the tools to be a lock down perimeter defender moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588148' first='Chuma' last='Achufusi'] | 6'2” SG | Episcopal

Achufusi continues to be a force for Episcopal, as he's putting up consistent numbers as a scorer and is a two way impact guy with his high motor and defensive ability. He can drill it from deep off the catch and create space off the bounce to get into his shot, he can get downhill and finishes well at the rim, he reads screens well and can make shots from all three levels, and he does all the little things that help your team win.
