Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Garland is an athletic wing who excels in transition and when attacking the rim, where his explosiveness and quick first step make him a difficult matchup. However, he is far more than just an athlete. Garland has continued to develop into a well rounded offensive player, showing the ability to knock down perimeter shots with range and confidence. He shot the ball particularly well at the Capitol Hoops Summer League earlier this week, further highlighting his growth as a scorer. Capable of impacting the game at multiple levels, he rebounds well from the wing position, fills up the stat sheet, and consistently makes plays that contribute to winning. Defensively, his athleticism, length, and versatility allow him to guard multiple positions effectively.

was the player of the game for me. He has jumped out of the gym with athleticism and has outstanding defensive versatility. He is great on the glass and plays with the type of motor you dream of as a coach. He had a couple of thunderous dunks, one of them being a fast break poster. He had a clutch of free throws late, and he felt like the MVP of this game.
