The Chicago Elite Classic is one of the premier annual must attend scouting events in the state of Illinois. PHI was in the house for every game on Friday and Saturday. Here is a look at the 2027 and 2028 prospects that made the biggest impact!

[player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (Warren – 2027)

Davis is the top ranked junior in the state. High IQ lead guard that makes life easier for everyone around him. Did that in this setting with his pin point passing setting up shooters and cutters. As a scorer he drained a couple of threes and got to the charity stripe. Kid is the definition of what you want as your lead guard. Had 15 points (3-9 FG) (7-8 FT), 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125591' first='Caden' last='Crudup'] (Whitney Young – 2027)

Crudup had a monster start to the 3rd quarter. The strong bodied wing ripped off 11 points in a couple minute span to ignite the Dolphins. Uses strength through contact and is a capable shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2860531' first='George' last='Gray'] (OPRF - 2027)

Gray is a long limbed small forward that a massive game on Friday night in their rivalry game vs Fenwick. He looks to be the clear go to guy for OPRF this season. Didn't shoot it particularly well from the perimeter, but he used his long strides and athleticism getting downhill for scores in the paint along with getting to the foul line at a high rate. Really liked the quick second jump he had on the offensive glass. Was very impactful on the defensive end as well blocking a three along with racking up steals. He had 25 points (8-21 FG) (1-7 3PT) (8-10 FT), 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2490487' first='Torrey' last='Barrett'] (Julian – 2027)

Barrett is a wing that first put his name on our radar over the summer. Plus three point shooter with a nice looking shot. He had a couple nice rives using his length off the bounce. Solid defender on the perimeter that can also slide inside. He finished with 13 points (5-11 FG), 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook – 2028)

Pettigrew is an athletic two guard that has a projectable frame. Got loose in transition multiple times for dunks, attacked on the baseline for a reverse layup, and made trips to the line. He struggled from deep going 1-7 in this contest against HF. Still managed to score 19 points (7-15 FG) along with snatching 3 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2467517' first='Darrius' last='Hawkins'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2028)

Hawkins is a dynamic lead guard for HF. Quick and shifty guard that hit a couple threes going 2-8 from distance. Slippery off the bounce being able to get in between the gaps and win in one on one situations along with popping in floaters. It was a bit of a rough game shooting overall going 4-20 from the field, but he still impacted by getting to the line at a high rate. Went for 16 points in their win over Bolingbrook.

[player_tooltip player_id='2385372' first='Noah' last='Corro'] (St. Laurence – 2028)

Corro was fantastic in the final game of the event. Far and away the best player on the floor against Rich Township. Slithery takes weaving in between defenders getting to the cup. Shot it pretty well from beyond the arc going 2-3 from deep. Played with a lot of leadership and energy for a game that ended after 11 PM. He had 21 points (7-11 FG).
