Jaxson "J5" Francis started out his season making a statement. I had him with roughly 28 points in the game, but have seen some claim as high as 31. He simply controlled the game against Bedford. Francis connected on multiple triples, going as deep as a few feet beyond the arc. But he wasn't just a shooter. Francis forced a couple turnovers and turned at least 1 into instant offense on the other end.

Hakki didn't have his best shooting night against Adrianm but I've seen him play enough over the last 6 months that I know it's just a blip on the radar. Hakki was probably the most athletic player on the floor. What really impressed me was his passing. Hakki knew he wasn't feeling his jumper, so he saw the floor and made some really good passes downhill and to post players and cutters.

I've thought Callan was a a top 10 prospect in the class of 2028 since before his freshman season. Dropping 30 plus points against the defending state champion Riverview Gabriel Richard certainly didn't hurt that claim. Callan was able to slice through the defense and attack and score near the rim. The thing that was maybe the most notable was his sheer size. Callan has gotten bigger and stronger and even tougher to stop.

I saw Morgan play a few times in fall ball and he looked ready to make a statement. He did just that in Lumen Christi's big win. Morgan is a very athletic shooter. He can get shots off cleanly that would be tough for most. Morgan has long strides and the ability to adjust body position, that makes him dangerous when going downhill.

Lesko really caught my eye in his team's hard fought loss to Lumen Christi. RGR lost a ton of talent from last year's title team, but Lesko looks ready to lead them to another terrific season. There was no answer to Lesko's dribble drive and attack on the rim. He looked the part of a creator off the bounce. Lesko was some made free throws away from a HUGE game. Even without the FT's on that night, the young man has game.
