(6-0) has been nothing short of outstanding for coach Joe Rux. The gifted 2029 prosect had nine points against Marquette before exploding for 34 points against Menomonee Falls. McMullen hit four-of-six tries from three-point range against Menomonee Falls. McMullen also had 32 points and 11 rebounds earlier this season in a win over Milwaukee Bradley Tech. McMullen's production has helped Brookfield East to a 5-0 record and his impressive beginning to his high school career also helped to offset the loss of senior T.J. Platz, who was able to play the first two games of the season before suffering an injury. Senior guard

DIVISION 5 ... BUTTERNUT
The jubilation of ending the albatross of a 70-game losing streak that spread over five seasons was evident Friday when the Butternut players started to jump around and hug one another as the final horn sounded in a 55-48 victory at Mercer. The last time the Midgets tasted victory was way back in the 2021-22 season when Butternut notched a 68-53 win over White Lake. Losing its final two games in that season, plus 67 in a row the past three seasons and their first game this year extended the streak to 70 games. No official state record is kept for most consecutive losses, although Stockbridge did drop 84 in a row back in the 1970s. Senior guard
