Williams and Rogers Get Bolingbrook Going

In the first quarter Bolingbrook rocketed off to a 19-10 lead. Class of 2027 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2881313' first='Isaiah' last='Rogers'] had a great start and overall performance in the game. Scored 9 of his 14 points in that first quarter. Wing that has broad shoulders, good strength, and plus athleticism. Showcased a smooth jumper spotting up from the corners and turnarounds in the 15 feet range. Finished out of the dunker spot, got on the offensive glass, and attacked with quickness on the baseline. Can post up as well using his quickness. [player_tooltip player_id='1552408' first='TJ' last='Williams'] is a senior that has proven to be the second scorer for the Raiders. Silky smooth 2026 wing that has a feathery mid-range shot which he poured in at a high rate throughout the game. Mixed in a floater and a nice score at the cup on a crossover for 16 points.

Back Up Guard Shows Promise for Bolingbrook

In the second quarter the heart and soul of this Bolingbrook squad [player_tooltip player_id='1874876' first='Trey' last='Brost'] went down with an injury. He is the one that gets them into their sets and looks to others to get them going as he did recording a couple nice assists early on along with being fouled on a three before going down. In his absence it was 2028 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2532021' first='Mason' last='Williams'] who stepped in. He did give them a spark with three soft touch finishes along with a long ball for 9 points.

National Top 15 2028 Guards Battle

The headline of this matchup was a battle between five star guards in the sophomore class in [player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] of Bolingbrook and Adan Diggs. For Pettigrew he let Williams and Rogers cook early, but didn't get his usual mid-range game to fall for most of the game until late when he started to knock multiple down. Got an and-1 on a back cut and a spinning layup scoring 12 points. Thought he hit the glass pretty well and did force Diggs into a few bad shots. In my first look at Millennium 2028 6'5” shooting guard Adan Diggs he backed up his top 10 ranking with a 20 point outing. Lengthy guard with broad shoulders which will easily carry more strength as time goes on. Everything he did was ultra smooth operating with crisp pull up jumpers, spin moves converting with either hand at the cup, getting loose in the open floor, and getting on the offensive glass. Elite second jump for a guard as he had a couple of put backs off his own misses where he looked like a pogo stick! Defensively the tools are definitely there and he had several sharp passes off live dribbles.

Arizona Commit Holmes Fights Through Foul Trouble

Senior star Cameron Holmes of Millennium got his third foul early in the second quarter. That slowed him down a little because he showed flashes early on. The Arizona commit is a southpaw who is electric with the rock in his hands. He has quite the burst accelerating pushing off the defensive glass going coast to coast. Wins on straight line takes consistently. He had 12 points.

Spencer and Coronado Shine in 3rd Quarter Run

A pair of 2027 prospects made the difference in the third quarter for Millennium. DJ Spencer is a 6'5” small forward that has a strong frame. He really used his physicality defending all over the floor including against Pettigrew. Attacks downhill with force finishing through and around defenders in the paint as he notched 15 points. Gabe Coronado goes about 6'3” with a killer three point shot as he nailed three of his four back to back to back in the 3rd quarter all from the corner. Plus shooter that moves without the ball had 13 points.
