The in-state holiday tournaments and shootouts continue to roll on and the Prep Hoops Indiana staff has been out and about seeing some of the top prospects in the state. I was also able to check out some players, mostly some under-the-radar names, at the Wabash Valley Tournament on Friday. With that said, let's empty out my latest notebook and talk about some Indiana prospects.

For Martinsville, [player_tooltip player_id='1560961' first='Grady' last='Gardner'] is always going to get the most focus but there are also a few players around him that can make big plays for them with one of them being junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2407767' first='Carson' last='Robertson']. Robertson is a tough player that plays fast and aggressive. Really likes to go at the defense and attack when he can, while also being a good floor general at times. He finished with 16 points for Martinsville in their overtime win over Shakamak.

I think of the more natural scoring guards that I saw in Terre Haute on Friday was Shakamak senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2408973' first='Case' last='Terrell']. Not only was he really good and finding spots in multiple areas to get his team a bucket, he was also extremely clutch down the stretch. With 1.5 seconds remaining on the clock, Terrell was able to get a tough layup to fall to send the Lakers to overtime with Martinsville. I really like his smooth jumper and IQ on the floor.

If you want to pick out players that just made big play after big play in the first round of the Wabash Valley Tournament, junior point guard Jaden Johnson one of Shakamak should for sure be on that list. Johnson is not going to wow you with his size with him always being one of the smaller players on the floor, but this junior guard can really light it up from deep. He hit multiple threes and was not afraid of being the guy that was going to look to step up when his team needed him to. A big reason why Shakamak was extremely close to getting the overtime win over Martinsville.

I think the most intriguing under-the-radar player that I got a chance to watch at the Wabash Valley Tournament on Friday was Edgewood's sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2797141' first='AJ' last='Norris']. This was the first time I was able to watch this 2028 guard and right off the bat, I was real impressed with his speed on the ball. He is a dynamic guard that likes to create on the ball and attack the basketball being someone that can just make plays happen. He had 11 points in Edgewood's win over Linton.

Out of the few under-the-radar players I was able to get eyes on Friday morning at the Wabash Valley Tournament was Edgewood junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2622251' first='Caden' last='Jones']. At a long and lanky 6'6, Jones is a versatile player but mostly wants to play on the wing where he can score both on and off the ball. A really good spot up shooter while also able to take his defender off the dribble and score in the lane. He finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds in Edgewood's win over Linton.
