Despite the loss to Washington, Neal poured in 42 Points with 36 coming in the 2nd half as Reidsville nearly overcame a 16 point halftime deficit. Neal has the best foot speed of any player I've covered at the high school level. His two way IQ is unmatched, truly on a different wavelength than everyone else on the court. The outside shot was really falling for Neal in the 2nd half as well, really opening the defense up for his drives, leading to him dominating the last 16 minutes. He is one of the best athletes that has come through the State of North Carolina

Garris has come into Washington and provided a completely different dynamic to what they do. He's got the unique blend of skills where he can bully smaller guys and out skill bigger ones. He's got a strong frame, a quick trigger off the catch or bounce, and a dynamic ability to finish in traffic at the cup. He shot 28 free throws in this one and finished with 33 Points after sinking 18 of them. He also added 8 rebounds and 3 assists from the performance. The move to Washington has enhanced the stage and Garris has simply delivered. Expect Garris to start gaining some real recruiting traction really soon.

Cauthen has been a great addition to Reidsville and got more comfortable as this game went on. After a slower first half both individually for Cauthen and collectively for Reidsville, the Rams came out with a real purpose with [player_tooltip player_id='1716474' first='Dionte' last='Neal'] leading the charge and [player_tooltip player_id='2194795' first='Paul' last='Cauthen'] not far behind him. Cauthen finished with 16 Points and 4 Rebounds in a tight loss to Washington. Cauthen's ability to play off of Neal and get buckets while going downhill was crucial to the comeback. He was 4-4 from the field and 8-11 from the line for a truly efficient showing. Cauthen will continue to gel with his new teammates at Reidsville and prove his value with his ability to make plays at both ends of the floor.

Might be the best and most well rounded athlete in the State of North Carolina regardless of class. [player_tooltip player_id='2523139' first='Jarryn' last='Payne'] is a true hyper athlete with a skillset that is rapidly catching up to the athleticism. He's knocking down catch and shoot threes with consistency now, showing the ability to make high level passes in multiple areas on the floor, all while flying around the court with a real purpose. Payne finished with 16 Points and 5 Rebounds on 7-10 from the floor and 2-3 from beyond the arc. The Bryant Football commit is shining on the hardwood for this Washington team that has legitimate state championship expectations. Payne is a really really intriguing prospect that can without a doubt play basketball at the next level as well.

In what was a tough shooting night for Coronado as a whole, [player_tooltip player_id='1490283' first='Amare' last='Oba'] was able to do all of the other stuff necessary for them to squeak out a key victory over Garner. Oba's defensively versatility was on display as he was all over that end of the floor. He finished with 11 Points and 8 Rebounds in the victory. He was a huge reason behind the 15 forced turnovers with his frenetic energy on the defensive end of the floor. 5 of his 8 rebounds were on the offensive end, getting his team huge extra possessions in a slower lower scoring game. He helped his team outscore Garner 16-8 in the final frame to come back and win. The Missouri State commit is looking to lead Coronado to a championship in their first John Wall Holiday Appearance.
