I am not sure if it was intentional, but there was a battle between teams from the North and South of Louisiana and each game was entertaining and competitive. I love to compare the North vs South and today was a great opportunity to see some of the best from each area. Who runs Louisiana, North or South? Well, in the four games the final tally was 2-2, so for now they are equally matched.

Hunter scored 29 points in the first game of the day and did it in every way possible. He got to the rim, showcased his mid-range shot and he was knocked down six three point shots. In a tightly contested match up he was relentless in making sure his team stayed in the game. Hunter is a big shot maker and his game has come full circle. Hunter has college level size and skill and will surely excel at the next level.

Fisher is a true point guard that could be a steal in the state for a coach looking for a floor general. Fisher has always been able to manage a team and score in spots, but his game has come full circle and he is more aggressive when he is off the ball. Fisher scored 24, but in the moments when the team needed points he showed up. He knocked down 5 three pointers in the second half scoring 20 of his 24 in the final two quarters. He is poised with the ball and constantly demonstrates his high IQ. He is a college level talent.

Matthews dropped 18 in a skillful effort and showcased his ability to manage a team and score the ball in unison. He is a nice sized guard with a trusted shot. He has a nice stroke and plays the game with an aggression that will surely transition to the next level. He also rebounds and defends at a high level making him a constant impact player on both sides of the ball. Coaches looking for a big guard with tons of upside will love Matthews game.

Fisher put on one of the most impressive performances of the day scoring 31 in the most exciting game of the day. Fisher is a big strong player and pretty much ungaurdable by players his size. He was dominant in the game versus Wossman, doing everything required to compete with their short handed roster. He rebounded, knocked down three point shots and shot the mid range. He was dominant in the post as well taking over the game and showcasing all of his skills. Fisher may have the highest upside of the entire group because of his size and aggressive mind set. Fisher is a stock riser in the solid 2026 class.

Turpin is the talk of North Louisiana and if you have not seen the kid play, grab a schedule and get some popcorn. His game is box office. There is no offensive comparison to Turpin right now. His pace is something that just can't be explained. The kid is nice with the ball and he is a master facilitator. He has point guard skills and delivers impressive passes in the creases of the defense. He is also an elite scorer from anywhere on the court. I was on hand for a 41 point performance and now watched a 38 point scoring spree, and both games resulted in wins. It is Turpin time, and he is the guy that will lead Wossman right back down south for another title opportunity.

In addition to these top performers there were amazing games from:

[player_tooltip player_id='2529000' first='Tyler' last='Brazier'] (Catholic Baton Rouge),and his 16 points, [player_tooltip player_id='2888725' first='Jude' last='Chamberlain'] (Catholic Baton Rouge and [player_tooltip player_id='2331926' first='Dillon' last='Dunn'] (Ouachita) 22 points.

I am not sure if it was intentional, but there was a battle between teams from the North and South of Louisiana and each game was entertaining and competitive. I love to compare the North vs South and today was a great opportunity to see some of the best from each area. Who runs Louisiana, North or South?
