Continuing our coverage from the stacked Good Guys Vs Cancer field out in the Outer Banks from last week. It was an incredible event for a great cause and we've spent the last few days highlighting some of the top performers, positional standouts, and others. Now, we're going to take a look at some of the top unsung heroes from the event. There are so many high profile guys in this event, there is often talent that doesn't always get the love they deserve. Let's take a deeper look at that right now.

Walker is an incredibly important two way piece to this Millbrook team with his size, versatility, and high motor. Walker has super long arms and is a really high level quick twitch athlete. That allows him to be a real disrupting presence defensively, operating in passing lanes, and turning defense into offense for his team. On the offensive end, Walker is at his best in transition where his physical gifts can really shine. He glides up the floor and is super aggressive in those transition situations. In the half-court, Walker can do a bevy of things to help Millbrook. He can exploit mismatches off the bounce, finish through traffic around the rim, and keep the defense honest with the outside shot. As he adds strength to his frame and fine tunes his skillset, expect Walker to continue to see his stock rise throughout his senior season.

Blue Ridge is a program with an incredibly solid reputation throughout the entire east coast. Known for taking kids from all over the world and putting out a product that both wins the program games and develops these groups of guys into really quality college players. [player_tooltip player_id='2815291' first='Justin' last='Huang'] is a perfect example of that. He has great size for an on-ball guard, real flare as a playmaker, and a well rounded skillset to work with. He is strong, able to play through contact both at the rim and in the open floor. He can make catch and shoot threes allowing him to be useful away from the ball. He can physically bully smaller guards when matched up, and is a presence on the glass in the backcourt. Huang has a lot of trust from his coaches, they often give him a ball screen when something needs to happen offensively. Expect Huang to continue to string together quality performances the rest of this season, before taking a leap in his game at some point really soon.

McGrath is a kid that just simply gets the job done. I have a feeling by this time next year he'll have too much buzz around him to make an "unsung heroes" list. He might even be there now but McGrath plays the game with a really high level of competitive fire to blend with his ability to make plays. McGrath has great feel, understands when to push the pace and when to slow it down. He's got a great outside touch and is very aggressive attacking closeouts leading to him getting to the line a good bit. In a statement win over Millbrook, McGrath finished with 26 Points on 10-18 from the floor while adding 4 Rebounds, 4 Assists, and 5 Steals. Statement performance from the junior guard who is starting to see more traction with his name.

Atkinson has made the move to Wilson Prep and we'll update his profile when we re-do the rankings at the turn of the new year. Atkinson is the go to option at Wilson Prep and looks to be ready for the challenge. Atkinson finished with 23 points on 9-11 from the floor in a 21 point win over Manteo. His ability to get to the paint and finish over defenders allows him to produce at a high level consistently. He can get hot from the outside and if the jumper is falling it's basically a guarantee he can get 20+. Atkinson has a chance to help take Wilson Prep on a special run. If his performance at Good Guys is any indicator, he's in line for a special season.

Swindell is such an elite mismatch for any team to have to use. He's a 3 level scoring and bruising forward with a handle and feel. He's a very present rebounder at both backboards and provides an incredible option for his team as a go to guy offensively. Too big for guards, too quick and skilled for bigs, Swindell understands who is in front of him and how he can utilize his gifts to take advantage. Once he gets into a college strength and conditioning program, the dividends on that will be obvious and he'll only be a better version of himself. Swindell should find himself as a great late addition to a recruiting class all while trying his best to defend that NCISAA 2A title at Caldwell.
