Thanksgiving week I attended four tournaments for exactly 25 games and 48 different teams. The events I watched were Phoenix Union Coyote Classic at Central and Deer Valley for 2 days, Fear The Hop Tournament at Mesa HS, Ben Franklin Thanksgiving Classic at Ben Franklin and Gilbert Christian and lastly the LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC.

Here were some Top 11-20 Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='2146267' first='Micah' last='Andrews'] Deer Valley

A dynamic defensive point guard with advanced court vision and next level speed with the ball. He will score with long step euros, ball fakes into a three and dunks on the break. His tight handle and sudden change of speeds with the ball plus his three level scoring makes him a player who is hard to contain. He scored 10+ points with limited minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323295' first='Brayden' last='Barrett'] Verrado

A bigger wing who had an easy 19 points in an efficient way and he did not play the full game either. He scores with dunks, quick trigger threes off the catch or pull, he runs the court well in transition and he is a better passer then he gets credited with as he has advanced court vision. He is a plus rebounder and holds his ground in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432565' first='Amaurie' last='Beausejour'] Desert Mountain

A quick scoring point guard can fill it up with deep threes, quick dribble drives and score it thru contact with and-1's and has speed to burn in the open court. He is a rhythm shooter and can get hot quickly. His speed and scoring abilities will help the mostly younger team all year long. He scored 21 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1873684' first='Tyson' last='Crandall'] Highland

A scoring lead guard is a tough cover. He makes many difficult shots per game. He will score with tough floaters, ball fakes and fall away shots in the lane and threes with range. His mid-range pull-up is money and he is quick on the ball defensively to collect steals. He scored around 15 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2717233' first='Travon' last='Darby'] Red Mountain

A bigger guard can play on or off the ball seamlessly. He will score with pull-up threes, mid-range jumpers and he is great on the break. He has advanced court vision to see over the defense and will drive and kick it to a teammate. He scored 16 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2275986' first='KJ' last='Fauske'] Seton Catholic Prep (Pictured)

A scoring combo guard with one of the purest shooting strokes in the AIA. He will score with cuts off the ball, threes off the dribble or catch with range, reverse layups and he plays smartly off of the pick and roll game. He is very patient to hesitate and get to the basket with some crafty finishes and scored 22 points in a close win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875720' first='Sergio' last='Gonzales'] Deer Valley

A tough scoring lead guard with that football mentality. He is a very good passer threading the needle for multiple dimes a game and fill it up. He will shoot it from the three with side steps and the lefty with burst to the basket, step thru and collect steals with quick hands and feet. He scored 15 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432454' first='Sekou' last='Sackor'] Centennial

A defensive combo guard is a two-way problem. His first step is dynamic to get to the basket and his speed in the open court and athleticism are different then most. He is super quick laterally to defend and will rebound and shockingly block many shots per game. He scored 7 points while filling up the stat sheet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1780586' first='Romell' last='Shields'] Centennial

A thicker framed 3 and D type will rattle in mid-range jumpers and is very stout on defense. He gets many deflections and steals plus he rebounds at a high rate for his position. He will ball fake and dribble drive to the rim and hit two clutch threes in overtime for a big win. He scored 18 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466067' first='Adrian' last='Stubbs'] Maryvale

A top-notch passing point guard. He is one of the better facilitators in the AIA with elite live dribble passes. He will score it with quick spin moves, fall aways and rises high on his threes. He can get hot from deep and rebounds the ball unusually well with his bounce. He scored 18 points with 6+ rebounds, 7+ assists to go with 3 steals.
