Emerging Stars: Talented Prospects from Recent Basketball Games

The Main Event of this action packed Schedule was Huntington vs Bossier, but Red River, LakeView and Southwood were able to give some impressive games leading up to the hometown match of the night. His 21 point performance was on limited shots, but maximum effort. He rebounded, finished at the rim, defended at a high level, and of course shot the ball. His position as a top prospect in the state is solid and he is putting pressure on those ahead of him. Huntington struggled to score, but he was aggressive and scored at will. It was interesting to watch him play the game as aggressively on offense as he does on defense which could be an added dynamic to this Huntington team. JD is an elite player that never takes off a play. He doesn't cheat the game and sometimes catches bad defensive breaks in today's game where tough defense is rewarded with touch fouls. Either way, you know what you are getting with McDonald. He is a strong player with a downhill hoop mentality. He is not limited to his ability to get to the rim, because he can shoot the ball as well. He is a scoring PG, but he is not greedy. He shares the ball at the right time and gets the ball to his team mates in their spots. Sanford can shoot the ball, but chooses to pressure the defense. His strong frame allows him to finish through contact and he embraces the physical part of the game.
