is the purest shooter in the class, but his energy is what stands out with this special hooper. He is long, aggressive and earns every bucket the hard way. His game has a sort of finesse to it because he is a long-range sniper, but he also loves to get in the paint and finish. Thomas is another player with more room to move up, and as his athleticism comes along, I think him getting on the rim will be the next step to his path to the top. If you have watched him play, then you know two things. DT is gonna get a bucket, and he is gonna get in your face and defend.

Thomas has earned his stripes as a sniper, but with each game he expands his bag based on what the team needs. When they need rebounds, he hits the boards, when they need energy, he locks in on defense, and when they need a shot made, he takes the shot. His 18 points lead Bossier in a win over Catholic earning him game MVP honors. Nothing but upside with this young energetic hooper.

Thomas was voted player of the game in a tough loss vs 5A Huntington and his game was well beyond his classification. His 21 point performance was on limited shots, but maximum effort. He rebounded, finished at the rim, defended at a high level, and of course shot the ball. His position as a top prospect in the state is solid and he is putting pressure on those ahead of him. His steady improvement and growth is what development is all about and it just seems when something needs to happen DT is right there.

Every team needs a secret weapon, and young DT is a sniper. He dropped 20 points in a tough win and served as the resident shooter. If he can see the goal, he can make the shot. He is a quick-release shooter, and I dare say, he is one of a kind in this skill. As soon as the ball touches his hands, he can get it off and hit the shot with efficiency. He also has the one-dribble pull-up in his bag, but it starts at the three-point line, and he moves in from there if you get him off the line. I will call him the Curry of our deep 2028 class. DT gone knock it down in any gym. If you don’t believe it, let him see the goal.

David Thomas is a player to watch closely, especially considering he’s just a Freshman and already playing a key role on the Bossier team. As the go-to shooter, he has a deadly three-point stroke, but it’s his defense and energy that really stand out. In a hard-fought game against Neville, Thomas took it upon himself to turn the matchup into a personal challenge, locking down one of the best shooters in the north and holding him to 0 points. On the offensive end, Thomas didn’t shy away, knocking down four three-pointers in the contest and bringing much-needed energy to his team. After hitting his first shot, his trash talk and enthusiasm were contagious, fueling his team for the rest of the game.
With his ability to stretch the floor, his defensive tenacity, and his poise in clutch situations, Thomas is already on track to be one of the next great players from Bossier. Anyone familiar with the Bossier program knows the kind of talent they produce, and Thomas is quickly proving he’s another name to remember.

Thomas is one of the better shooters I have seen regardless of class. He has an ability to play well off of others and find open spots behind the arc. Thomas has a quick release as well which makes it hard to block. His shooting ability and being over 6 feet are reasons Thomas may be a good top ten candidate.

is quickly establishing himself as a premier shooter and playmaker on the Louisiana hoops scene. He possesses the height and wingspan that set him apart on the court. Thomas is one of those players who has a knack for being in the right place at the right time to make a play. As a young player, he has yet to fully develop physically, but his presence on the court is more robust than his slender frame suggests. Currently, his role is that of a sharp shooter and cleanup man, but as he ages and his game matures, he will surely become a key player for Bossier High School, which has a reputation for developing some of the toughest players in the city. Few freshmen can handle the pressure of stepping onto the court, but Thomas appears ready for the challenge. The bottom line is that despite his youth, Thomas is a formidable shooter with a reliable three-point shot, and if he is not properly boxed out, he will capitalize on rebounding opportunities and finish plays with ease.

If he does nothing more than spot up on the wing and drain threes, Thomas will be an asset. Thomas has shown that he can shoot better than some upperclassmen. He has long arms with a quick release. Thomas also has an upperclassman feel on how to play off players and space the floor. Playing with
