2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1978108' first='Mick' last='Hoffman'] (Cascade) -- 35 points (9-17 FG, 0-1 3P, 17-19 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal [vs. Northeast]

Hoffman was really good as a secondary scorer alongside Jackson Lieurance last season and has stepped into the starring role this season, as he showed against a Northeast team that is always stout defensively. He showed the ability to create looks for himself off the dribble, attempting just one 3-pointer, a rarity in a 35-point game nowadays, and he was able to get to the free-throw line a ton. His 19 free-throw attempts were the third most of any player in a single game so far this season.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='2413648' first='Logan' last='Kempema'] (Hinton) -- 33 points (12-18 FG, 5-8 3P, 4-4 FT), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal [at MMCRU]

Kempema was great against a fantastic Royals defense, scoring 33 points on 67% shooting, including going a sterling 5-8 from behind the arc. When he's shooting like that from the 3-point line, he's really, really difficult to slow down at this level because of his ability to then attack overly aggressive closeouts and get to the rim for finishes, where he has great body control and touch at the bucket.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2617484' first='Carter' last='Lightfoot'] (MFL MarMac) -- 30 points (10-20 FG, 7-12 3P, 3-5 FT), 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals [vs. New Hampton]

Lightfoot dropped 30 points against the Chickasaws and put on a shooting clinic, burying seven 3-pointers in the win and showcasing his ability to shoot it from anywhere, both on and off-platform. He's a talented playmaker with the ball in his hands who can also create great looks for his teammates.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1765503' first='Brock' last='Badding'] (Kuemper Catholic) -- 29 points (9-16 FG, 8-13 3P, 3-3 FT0, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 2 blocks [vs. Clear Lake]

Badding put together a great showing, especially in the second half, in the Knights' loss to the top-ranked team in Class 3A. In a second half comeback effort, Badding made seven of his eight 3-pointers, showcasing that he is one of the state's elite shooters. He shoots it really well off both the dribble and the catch, and when he gets rolling, he's incredibly tough to slow down, as the Lions found out.

2028 PF Titan Foster (Nodaway Valley) -- 10 points (5-15 FG, 0-2 3P), 23 rebounds (8 offensive), 1 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocks [at Griswold]

A sophomore wing, Foster was ridiculously good on the glass against Griswold, pulling down an eye-popping 23 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end. He didn't finish very well against the Tigers, going 5-15 from the floor, but his work on the glass didn't go unnoticed. We'll keep an eye on the 6-0 sophomore.

2027 SF Zeke Claussen-Tubbs (Anamosa) -- 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 FT), 17 rebounds (10 offensive), 3 assists [vs. Durant]

Claussen-Tubbs was fantastic on the glass against the Wildcats, putting up a double-double that would've been a double-double even with just his work on the offensive glass. Pulling down 10 offensive rebounds is obviously a major accomplishment, but the impact that all those extra possessions can have on a game is massive.

2027 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2420786' first='AJ' last='Harder'] (Tri-Center) -- 21 points (9-19 FG, 0-4 3P, 3-6 FT), 3 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks [vs. Riverside]

An athletic lead guard who can do a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor, Harder was great against the Bulldogs, putting up a points-assists double-double as well as showcasing his defensive versatility with five stocks.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765519' first='Brady' last='Gogel'] (Beckman Catholic) -- 12 points (3-7 FG, 6-7 FT), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 7 steals [at Camanche]

Gogel transferred to Beckman from Monticello, and he's given the Blazers exactly what they needed in the backcourt - a veteran presence who can impact the game even when he's not scoring. That's exactly what he did against Camanche, proving to be a pest on the defensive end as well as creating quality looks for his teammates.
