Bishop Verot Holiday Hoopfest Standouts, First Five

This high-level tournament produced a lot of exciting games and some great basketball was played throughout the week. The senior guard is playing with confidence and has an extra bounce in his step as of late. He is a true team player, who is active on the defensive side of the ball, and has a knack for forcing turnovers. Offensively he has the ability to attack the basket, but excels behind the 3-point line where he shoots it at a very high rate. He has tremendous speed and athleticism, which allows him to guard multiple positions on defense. He rebounds the ball very well from the guard position, and likes to get out and run where he excels in transition. The 6'2" senior has a lightning quick first step, where likes to beat you off the dribble and finish at the rim. The 6'4" junior had multiple 20 point games, and proved he can score both inside and out. He has the size and strength to finish down low with contact, but can also hurt you from deep where he shoots the 3-ball at a high rate. One of the top shooters in the area, he has unlimited range and can be deadly from behind the arc. The 6'0" senior has an excellent mid-range game to compliment that, and also has the ability to beat you off the dribble and attack the basket, making him a true 3-level scorer, and a matchup nightmare. The 6'4" junior has great size and length, and is a tremendous two-way player. He has active hands where he looks to force turnovers and turn defense into offense. White is also a tremendous rebounder who is quick off the floor and positions himself well. He has the skill to score down low in the post, but really impressed with his mid-range game and ability to knock down the jumper.
