Some of the offenses last weekend at the Champions Classic were fun to watch, especially on day two. The level of guard play gets higher and higher, and there were a few lesser-known players that I'm sure got on people's radar after their performance. The shot creation from a lot of these guards was excellent, and the ability to get downhill was a theme for most of the guards who had success. Here are the best shot creators I saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788037' first='Kevin' last='Reyes']'s ability to get wherever he wants on the court is his best attribute. Kevin has a terrific handle and knows where he wants to get to. His touch is fantastic, and you see him get to his floater a lot, and he finishes well with both hands. He plays off two feet well, and he consistently creates space to get good looks off. Against South Lakes, you could tell how much this team struggled to get offense without him on the court. He was terrific in a win and was in control the whole game.

Mahkai Ramos does a great job getting into the paint, and South Lakes relied on his shot creation a lot. Mahkai's shot selection wasn't great at the beginning of this game, but when you saw him start to make the right plays, South Lakes began to gain momentum. Mahkai has a great handle, and the whole game, I felt like he played bigger than his size. He is a tough shot maker and a crafty ball handler. His ability to get to the rim helped unlock South Lakes offense, specifically getting shooters good looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2605296' first='Messiah' last='Dixon'] was nearly perfect early against St. James. Messiah hit shots from three as a catch-and-shooter, and he hit several shots where he got into his bag to create space and hit tough shots. Messiah isn't the biggest guy, and although he is a good athlete, he doesn't blow you away with athleticism as a scorer. He does it with elite skill, and his shot-making was up there with the best at this event. He wasn't super ball dominant, but he was decisive every time he touched it.

Josh Orbida was in control for Pot Falls in a win over West Potomac. Josh has an elite handle and a terrific feel for the game. He plays like a little bit more of a floor general than a guy you would consistently go to for a bucket, but he showed he can get his when called upon. And to a degree, those two things can be the same thing. Josh did an outstanding job driving to his left with some strong moves to finish over bigger defenders. He's a capable three-point shooter, and he made a handful of outstanding passes in transition early in the game following Pot Falls stops.

Woodson did whatever they wanted against Potomac offensively in a blowout win. Brady Conklin's handling and quickness unlocked Woodson's offense. Potomac tried to pick Brady up full court and trap him, but his quickness and handling made that one of the downfalls of Potomac's defense. He was constantly getting downhill and either finding open players or getting to the rim and finishing. He had a handful of crafty moves he got to, and he does a nice job scoring at all three levels.

Broad Run put on an offensive show against South County. [player_tooltip player_id='2347778' first='Adam' last='Perdue'] was one of the players who really set the tone on offense. What I loved about what Adam did was that he did a great job getting looks without dominating the ball. He did a great job moving without the ball to get easy lay-ins and hit spot-up threes. I love Adam's decisiveness as a scorer, and he made the right pass consistently. He created a lot of shots for others, and he was efficient.
