They have the pieces in place to make a run to Championship Saturday. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Parkersburg South</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>South would be the other team in this region who'd be considered a legit contender for a championship run. This year will probably be no different in the fact the Highlanders have some key pieces of the puzzle back and as always they'll be well seasoned and tested by March. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Cabell Midland</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Midland should be skilled, talented and deep going into this season. What's possibly coach Woomer's best chance to get to the state tournament since taking the job. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Darkhorse</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Woodrow Wilson</strong> is the pick for top darkhorse despite possibly getting a push from Riverside and an upstart Hurricane squad. Woodrow has some good returning players who are solid athletes, a great shooter in [player_tooltip player_id='2395960' first='Lucas' last='Raney'] and some size inside.
