10 Early Season Under-the-Radar Stars

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here at Prep Hoops Indiana we pride ourselves on continuously uncovering new names and highlighting the up-and-comping prospects that haven't otherwise received much, if any, recognition. While we enjoy writing about the best-of-the-best, and they certainly get mentioned plenty, our calling card is casting a light on the under-the-radar stars. That is exactly what we are going to do here. The Wildkats have no shortage of offensive weapons and have leaned on different guys each time out. On Friday, 6'1" junior guar [player_tooltip player_id='2135089' first='Erivon' last='Burks'] scored a career-high 22 points to help lead the Wildkats to a 55-40 win over McCutcheon. The Pioneers are off to a 6-0 star with impressive wins over the like of Evansville Bosse and Evansville Harrison. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140326' first='Bradyn' last='Egli'] has been one of the stars leading the way for Boonville. The Class 1A #5 Vikings are 5-0 this season and just picked up their 1,000th win in program history on Tuesday night with a 69-32 win over North Knox. Last week, sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber'] poured in 25 points in a game including 18 points in the second half and 11 in the fourth quarter as Barr-Reeve defeated Class 4A Terre Haute South 72-53. Then, the Golden Bears moved to 5-0 to begin the season on Tuesday night with an impressive win over Greenwood. The 6'4" versatile senior forward scored 18 points in that contest. The 6'4" senior forward posted a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds in DeKalb's first lost of the season on Tuesday night too Bishop Dwenger. He had 15 points and 7 rebounds in their previous game which was a win over Fort Wayne Canterbury. The Barons are 3-1 on the season with Penrod averaging 16 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. The strong, physical interior presence scored 15 points to go with 6 rebounds in Friday's win over West Washington. The 6'1" sophomore guard recently put up a career-high 26 points in the Tigers' 66-43 win over Union County. However, the 6'7" forward continues to put up big numbers. Wilcox recently posted an impressive stat line of 13 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 blocked shots as Southwood defeated Peru 70-63.
