This event attracted teams from Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio, bringing together a diverse pool of talent that many teams were unfamiliar with. As a result, the event became truly memorable. In this article, I will highlight the first five names that should be followed as district play is coming up!

[player_tooltip player_id='2112011' first='Payton' last='Jones']'s 31-point performance against San Antonio Harlan was nothing short of an offensive clinic. Throughout the game, he consistently led in points, with points in every quarter and overtime. Jones's ability to get to his spots frequently created numerous open shot opportunities off the dribble. His aggressive offensive play not only generated scoring chances but also forced San Antonio Harlan defenders to struggle defensively, making it difficult for them to contain him. Every time I watch Payton play, he continues to make a name for himself.

Maddox Davis played a crucial role in Kinkaid's victory over Westfield. He demonstrated his skills on both ends of the court. Offensively, his height allowed him to easily take defenders off the dribble and drive to the basket going usually to his right. When open on the perimeter, he capitalized on his catch-and-shoot opportunities, converting several of them. Defensively, Maddox showcased his versatility by covering ground effectively. He could beat ball handlers to their spots and protect the paint by contesting shots in that area.

[player_tooltip player_id='2233762' first='Tristan' last='Collins'] was a pivotal player for San Antonio Harlan against Cypress Park, making significant contributions on both ends of the court. Offensively, he showcased his ability to stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting, sinking two three-pointers during momentum shifts. Beyond his perimeter shooting, he effectively made close shots in the paint, becoming a valuable target within the offensive flow. Additionally, Tristan demonstrated his active interior defense by deflecting pass and blocking shots throughout the game. While he scored impactful points, his defensive prowess truly set him apart as a difference-maker.

[player_tooltip player_id='2251912' first='Evan' last='Bhatia'] put on a 27 point performance against Killeen Ellison High School becoming the leading scorer for Bush High School. Throughout the game Evan carried the offense with his penetration to the basket finding holes within the perimeter to capitalize on floaters and comfortable drives. Evan was very efficient from the free throw line going 11-12 from the line. In the pick & roll he operated very well coming off them to get into his scoring opportunities. Off the dribble he got off perimeter shots cleanly knocking down four of them in this game. Evan definitely needs to be on college radars going forward!

[player_tooltip player_id='2558213' first='Sean' last='Parks'] delivered an exceptional offensive performance against Bush High School, emerging as the leading scorer for Killeen Ellison High School. His well-rounded offensive output propelled his team to a victory. Whenever I watch Sean play, I eagerly anticipate witnessing his renowned defensive impact. His consistent hustle and determination to go after the ball, whether it's a rebound or a loose ball on the ground, he sets himself apart. Sean's heart and relentless activity defensively are what make him stand out, and it's no surprise that he's already signed to Saint Mary's University in San Antonio!
