[player_tooltip player_id='3346656' first='Ajani' last='Jones'] is a freshman from Pearland Dawson High School that made a significant impact on his team. After a deep playoff run, he averaged 11 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per game during the season. In 34 games, he started 10, demonstrating his versatility as a player who can contribute both from the bench and as a starter. Ajani was named a first-team all-district selection and was instrumental in securing two game-winning performances this season. This summer, he will have the opportunity to further develop his skills during the grassroots season. Ajani's exceptional performance this season is likely to lead to a change in the 2029 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767946' first='Isaiah' last='Wright'] is a promising prospect that remains in playoff mode as Katy Jordan High School prepares to face Cypress Falls High School in the 6A-D2 State Semifinals. Throughout the season, I've witnessed Isaiah's game, making him a standout player even during his freshman year. With an impressive average of 6.3 points, 2 rebounds, and assists, along with a shooting percentage of 35% from the perimeter, Isaiah has already made a significant impact. While he currently trails behind several seniors who will be leaving for college, this opens up more opportunities for him next season. I anticipate a substantial improvement in his game after the grassroots season concludes. As a result, Isaiah's name is now known with talent and I'm confident he will receive more Division I offers, having already secured two from Prairie View A&M University and Alabama A&M University.

Brandon Lafell Jr. is a highly regarded freshman guard for Shadow Creek High School that recently had an impressive season. His team made it to the third round of the playoffs, defeating Hightower and Summer Creek High School. In his first playoff game, Brandon showcased his skills finishing with 20 points. He demonstrated agility and quickness, effectively maneuvering his way to the basket in transition and half-court offensive situations. His ability to outmaneuver defenders and create scoring opportunities for himself on all three levels is truly impressive. Against Summer Creek, Brandon continued his impressive performance, scoring another 20 points and contributing to Shadow Creek's comfortable victory. As time progresses, Brandon Lafell Jr. is undoubtedly a player to watch closely as he continues to develop and excel on the basketball court.

[player_tooltip player_id='3346692' first='Preston' last='Menocal'] is a guard for Katy High School that has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the varsity team this season. He seamlessly fits into the team's dynamics and consistently makes smart decisions without turning the ball over frequently. Throughout my observations of Katy High School's games, I've noticed that Preston prefers to score by going downhill. He often finds himself open on the perimeter, thanks to teammates who create opportunities within the offensive flow. I am confident that Preston's skills will continue to improve, and he will undoubtedly be a significant contributor to Katy High School's future success.

[player_tooltip player_id='3347576' first='Julius' last='Ogunfuye'] is a freshman from Cypress Woods High School that recently experienced a setback in the UIL Playoffs, losing to Klein Oak in a Bi-District match. Despite this, he showcased his potential by averaging 6.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and shooting 40 percent from the field this season. Standing at 6'4”, Julius possesses the versatility to excel on both ends of the court. His frame allows him to make defensive plays on the perimeter by stealing the ball, while also blocking shots in the interior. With continued development, he has the opportunity to make a significant impact next season. I'm eagerly anticipating his contributions during the upcoming grassroots season.
