About Ajani
Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Hoops Scout
Skilled guard, who has signs of being a pure bucket getter. Good shooter off the dribble, hitting triples and mid-range. But can lean too much on his jumper. When he does get downhill, he has some smoothness to his game. With spin moves, runners, two foot stops and more. Occasionally would flash good vision on dimes. Finding the right balance between getting his and handing out more dimes will unlock new levels to his game. Averaged nearly 13 a game for the weekend, including 18 points against MOKAN.

is a freshman from Pearland Dawson High School that made a significant impact on his team. After a deep playoff run, he averaged 11 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per game during the season. In 34 games, he started 10, demonstrating his versatility as a player who can contribute both from the bench and as a starter. Ajani was named a first-team all-district selection and was instrumental in securing two game-winning performances this season. This summer, he will have the opportunity to further develop his skills during the grassroots season. Ajani’s exceptional performance this season is likely to lead to a change in the 2029 rankings.

This freshman point guard has been spectacular throughout the season, improving each performance with his feel for the game and basketball IQ. Jones has become one of, if not the most reliable player on the floor, someone you trust in the biggest moments to make a play or the right decision with the ball. Jones capped off January with game-winning downhill finishes in consecutive clutch victories, highlighting his maturity, poise, and killer mindset.

broke defenders down with a fluid, shifty, and controlled low dribble, keeping his handle tight and in his pockets with each move he strings together. Whenever he attacked, he fully committed to getting deep into the lane, finishing through traffic, bumps, and contact with touch and toughness.

out of Pearland Dawson High School played extremely well off the bench against Manvel High School. Off the bench, Ajani was a strong contributor in pushing the lead out further for his teammates while also making a defensive impact on the ball with his length. With his confidence already as a freshman and production, I can only see him climbing the rankings as time goes on in his high school career. At the moment, Ajani has an offer from Alabama A&M University, and I expect Ajani to receive more Division I offers in the future as his game improves beyond this year.
