High School Spotlight: Orleans Bulldogs

The season is still a few weeks away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is&nbsp;425-211&nbsp;as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Can never count out Orleans to make another deep run in Class 1A. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2813537' first='Alex' last='DeWitt']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jahari-miller/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The reigning Class 1A State Champion Orleans do lose a god amount of production from last year's that cut down the nets but with that, they also have a really solid group coming back, starting with senior small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2813537' first='Alex' last='DeWitt']. The 6'3 wing brings back 14.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game from his junior season. He really changes the game with his physicality on the floor and his willingness to play with a high motor at every play. He steps into the one of the main leaders for this Bulldogs team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2409182' first='Nate' last='Brown']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/chace-ford/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> Alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2813537' first='Alex' last='DeWitt'] this season will be fellow senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2409182' first='Nate' last='Brown'], who has a chance to have a breakout senior season at the Class 1A level. Last season as a junior, Brown 6.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and this season, those number will probably see a huge increase by a large percentage. For his size, he has solid ball handles with the ability to make plays out in transition.
