1. Durand-Arkansaw -- Perennially strong Durand-Arkansaw looks to make in three consecutive Dunn-St. Croix titles this winter behind the return of senior [player_tooltip player_id='3019762' first='Max' last='Anderson'] (6-2, 4 ppg, 5 rpg) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2509446' first='Luke' last='Weber'] (5-11, 15 ppg, 3 rpg). Both Anderson and Weber started on last year's club that finished 19-6 under coach Justin Redetzke, who has won more than 200 games in 13 years at the school. Also back for the Panthers are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3019770' first='Ethan' last='Mack'] (5-9, 3 ppg, 2 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3019773' first='Billy' last='Weisenbeck'] (6-3, 3 ppg, 3 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3019767' first='Brett' last='Breidung'] (6-3, 6 ppg, 4 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019771' first='Isaac' last='Sabelko'] (5-9). Experience, communication and aggressiveness are listed strengths of the Panthers.

2. Clear Lake -- After years of competing in the Lakeland Conference, Clear Lake moves over to the Dunn-St. Croix with a team primed for success. Coach Jason Sargent welcomes back four regulars from a team that went 23-3 in seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3019461' first='Lane' last='Prusak'] (5-10, 4.5 ppg, 3.2 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019463' first='Kasey' last='Becker'] (6-1, 5.0 ppg, 6.3 rpg) along with juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2429609' first='Caleb' last='Arcand'] (6-0, 16.9 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019456' first='Max' last='Everts'] (6-2, 13.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg). Up-tempo play and three-point shooting will be strengths for Clear Lake, which also returns junior [player_tooltip player_id='3019464' first='Miles' last='Johnson'] (6-1, 6.8 ppg, 5.2 rpg).

3. Glenwood City -- Led by the return of multi-talented senior [player_tooltip player_id='1976781' first='Brody' last='Olson'] (6-7, 18 ppg, 8 rpg, 6 apg), the Hilltoppers aim to improve upon an 11-11 finish. Olson, the son of Glenwood City head coach Patrick Olson, can play different positions, score from all over the floor and dominate at times in the paint. He figures to get plenty of help from seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2953049' first='Brody' last='Riba'] (5-10, 8 ppg, 3 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3019110' first='Brady' last='Thompson'] (6-2, 8 ppg, 6 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2953054' first='Ben' last='Klatt'] (6-2, 6 ppg, 4 rpg). Also back are seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3020085' first='Clayton' last='Hoffman'] (6-4, 2 ppg) and Mitchell Main (6-1, 4 ppg, 3 rpg) along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='3020088' first='Tristen' last='Wink'] (6-1, 2 ppg).

4. Colfax -- The Vikings got a boost over the summer with the addition of Boyceville transfer [player_tooltip player_id='2836351' first='Tegan' last='Lydon'] (6-0), who averaged 8.1 ppg and 4.8 rpg as a freshman. Lydon joins a Colfax program that has three starters back from a 12-13 squad in seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2389988' first='Orion' last='Nichols'] (5-11, 11.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019520' first='Charlie' last='Charbonneau'] (5-9, 2.7 ppg) along with talented sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2551493' first='Russell' last='Polkoski'] (6-5, 12.5 ppg, 9.1 rpg). Junior [player_tooltip player_id='3021313' first='Trey' last='Larson'] (5-6, 3.2 ppg) also is back for the Vikings, who lack depth but have a reliable inside presence with the return of Polkoski.

5. Spring Valley -- The Cardinals, a traditional power in the Dunn-St. Croix, were hit very hard by graduation as all five regulars from a 21-6 team graduated. The lone returning varsity performer for coach Rob Bosshart is junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='3022290' first='Jake' last='Hannack'] (5-11, 1.6 ppg, 1.1 rpg). Hannack will get help from plenty of newcomers, but Spring Valley's lack of varsity experience could prove troublesome, particularly early in the season. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='3022296' first='Collin' last='Brunner'] (6-2), [player_tooltip player_id='3022293' first='Wyatt' last='Smith'] (5-9), [player_tooltip player_id='3022292' first='Toby' last='Shafer'] (6-4), Kolin Dykhouse (5-10) and Gaige Larson (5-10), along with junior [player_tooltip player_id='3022297' first='Parker' last='Cipriano'] (6-0), figure to contend for starting roles.

6. Chetek-Weyerhaeuser -- The top two scorers from a 9-16 squad graduated last spring, leaving scoring punch as a concern for coach Hans Olson at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser. In its first year in the Dunn-St. Croix after previously competing in the Heart O'North, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser will rely on shooting and physical post play from senior [player_tooltip player_id='3034606' first='Luke' last='Anderson'] (6-5, 2.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg) in its bid for an upper-division finish. Anderson is one of three returning starters along with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2400904' first='Brodrick' last='Olson'] (5-9, 9.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019420' first='Ethan' last='Brown'] (6-2, 2.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg). New players from a JV1 team that finished 20-2 will compete for spots in the Bulldogs' playing rotation.

7. Boyceville -- A senior class that boasts extensive experience is a key asset for Boyceville, which went 7-18 a year ago but has four senior starters back for 2025-26. Coach Colby Dotseth will turn to [player_tooltip player_id='2949048' first='Jon' last='Madison'] (6-4, 13.0 ppg, 9.4 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='2949050' first='Owen' last='Rydel'] (6-1, 10.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='2949042' first='Carson' last='Roemhild'] (6-0, 9.7 ppg, 9.0 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2949051' first='Landyn' last='Leslie'] (5-11, 6.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg) to provide toughness and leadership. That foursome plays with a good basketball IQ and will lead the way for a pair of promising sophomores in [player_tooltip player_id='3019148' first='Eli' last='Weber'] (6-1, 2.8 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3019149' first='Gavin' last='Rydel'] (5-10, 1.4 rpg).

8. Mondovi -- Coming off a three-win season, Mondovi looks for improvement in 2025-26 under coach Sarah Brenner. The Buffaloes have five key players back from a year ago in senior [player_tooltip player_id='3021244' first='Keaton' last='Schoonover'] (5-6, 2.3 ppg), junior [player_tooltip player_id='3021234' first='Mason' last='Brenner'] (6-1, 3.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg) and sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='3021233' first='Beau' last='Spindler'] (6-1, 8.6 ppg, 6.5 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3021231' first='Bode' last='Falkner'] (6-0, 8.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='3021249' first='Griffin' last='Rud'] (5-7, 7.6 ppg, 2.0 rpg). Experience, and quickness are strengths for Mondovi.

9. Plum City/Elmwood -- Replacing the production of the graduated Lucas Glaus (6-3), who averaged 23.4 ppg as a senior and scored 1,468 career points for the Wolves, will be a challenge for coach Paul McDonough. With Glaus now playing at UW-Superior, McDonough will rely heavily on three key returning players in juniors [player_tooltip player_id='3021744' first='Logan' last='Auth'] (6-0, 7.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg), [player_tooltip player_id='3021751' first='Brewer' last='Link'] (5-10, 6.4 ppg, 4.3 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2836354' first='Landen' last='McDonough'] (5-9, 5.6 ppg, 1.8 rpg).

Top Returning Scorers

[player_tooltip player_id='1976781' first='Brody' last='Olson'] (Glenwood City) 18.0 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2429609' first='Caleb' last='Arcand'] (Clear Lake) 16.9 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2509446' first='Luke' last='Weber'] (Durand-Arkansaw) 15.0 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='3019456' first='Max' last='Everts'] (Clear Lake) 13.8 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2949048' first='Jon' last='Madison'] (Boyceville) 13.0 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2551493' first='Russell' last='Polkoski'] (Colfax) 12.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2389988' first='Orion' last='Nichols'] (Colfax) 11.7 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2949050' first='Owen' last='Rydel'] (Boyceville) 10.5 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2949042' first='Carson' last='Roemhild'] (Boyceville) 9.7 ppg
[player_tooltip player_id='2400904' first='Brodrick' last='Olson'] (Chetek-Weyerhaeuser) 9.6 ppg

Projected All-Conference Teams
First Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1976781' first='Brody' last='Olson'], 6-7, Sr., Glenwood City
[player_tooltip player_id='2551493' first='Russell' last='Polkoski'], 6-5, Soph., Colfax
[player_tooltip player_id='2509446' first='Luke' last='Weber'], 5-11, Jr., Durand-Arkansaw
[player_tooltip player_id='2949042' first='Carson' last='Roemhild'], Jr., Boyceville
[player_tooltip player_id='2429609' first='Caleb' last='Arcand'], 6-0, Jr., Clear Lake

Second Team
[player_tooltip player_id='2949048' first='Jon' last='Madison'], 6-4, Sr., Boyceville
[player_tooltip player_id='3019456' first='Max' last='Everts'], 6-2, Jr., Clear Lake
[player_tooltip player_id='2400904' first='Brodrick' last='Olson'], 5-9, Sr., Chetek-Weyerhaeuser
[player_tooltip player_id='2389988' first='Orion' last='Nichols'], 5-11, Sr., Colfax
[player_tooltip player_id='3019767' first='Brett' last='Breidung'], 6-3, Sr., Durand-Arkansaw

The Big Five

Best Shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='3019456' first='Max' last='Everts'], Clear Lake
Best Rebounder: [player_tooltip player_id='2949048' first='Jon' last='Madison'], Boyceville
Best Defender: [player_tooltip player_id='2429609' first='Caleb' last='Arcand'], Clear Lake
Best Collegiate Prospect: [player_tooltip player_id='1976781' first='Brody' last='Olson'], Glenwood City
Most Improved Player: [player_tooltip player_id='3019767' first='Brett' last='Breidung'], Durand-Arkansaw
