Canam Basketball Tournament: Wing/Forward Standouts

The Canam basketball tournament brought 8 teams to Western Reserve Academy in a 4 USA Vs 4 Canada weekend event where each team plays three games. In this article I'll break down my wing and forward standouts from Friday's action.    I liked a lot of the offensive creativity Ioannisci showed me on Friday. With some impressive drift and kickout passes, Ioannisci was swinging the rock across the entire court throughout the game. Making a couple heads up plays defensively for easy transition opportunities, there were some easy buckets on the stat sheet for Ioannisci. I appreciated that Ioannisci made an impact on a night where his jumper wasn't falling, showing signs of growth as a player.     Another player who had some easy buckets, Fox had an and-1 putback, a transition alley-oop and a couple other buckets where he crashed the offensive glass. Able to space the floor as a shooter with size, Fox allows room for Western Reserve's guards to attack downhill and score without help defense rotating off of him. Still a prospect who has room to grow, I'm excited to see Fox against some tougher competition later this season as Western Reserve Academy rolled to a blowout victory tonight.     Rollins is doing a post-grad year at Spire as he just turned 18 years old, which is younger than many normal 2026 high school students. A sweet shooting wing prospect, Rollins was hitting catch and shoot shots on the wing and has a high-arcing shot. His trail 3 late in the game helped Spire come away with an overtime victory as Rollins was in the game down the stretch. Rollins is a no-brainer scholarship target who had a handful of Division II offers as a senior in Nebraska and should attract even more offers this post grad season.     I was a fan of the versatility Hall showed on both ends of the court. Showing good vision and basketball IQ from the forward position, the ball seemed to go to the right spots when Hall was in control of the basketball. Add in a deceptive change of direction and Hall was slippery when attacking the basket. Hall showed the ability to finish with either hand at the rim and impacted the game in plenty more ways than just being a scorer. I thought Hall looked like a potential Division I target on Friday, we'll see if he adds some steam to his recruitment this winter.     Very rare to find legit 7 footers anywhere and Susic was very productive around the basket, finishing almost every time he had a mismatch in the paint. Scoring multiple times over his left shoulder with his right hook and using pump fakes to get rotating shot blockers off balance, Susic showed impressive patience around the basket. Skilled for his size, Susic has a lot of offensive ability. My main question about Susic is how well he moves his feet but considering the upside he has as a 7 footer I'm expecting Division I schools to be active recruiting him this winter.
