6A

6A is shaping up to be an exciting race for the State Championship this year, with numerous teams poised to make a significant impact. American Fork has undergone some strategic adjustments, and the presence of [player_tooltip player_id='1439711' first='Bryce' last='Mella'] throughout the season will be a major asset. Keep an eye on the dynamic duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1724369' first='Jax' last='Oyler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2089441' first='Jax' last='Clark'], as well as the hard-working [player_tooltip player_id='2521701' first='Lincoln' last='Zimmerman'], who brings both energy and passion to the court. Diert Tuitavuke is another promising young player ready to make his mark.

Davis will rely on their usual core of talented players, but the addition of [player_tooltip player_id='2539677' first='Cameron' last='Brower'], a versatile big man, could be a game-changer. [player_tooltip player_id='1278451' first='JT' last='Turley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1611276' first='Bode' last='Sparrow'] are expected to have standout seasons, making Davis a team to watch. They'll be a top target for everyone.

The Bingham Miners are not to be underestimated. With a starting lineup featuring five seniors, they boast a strong foundation. The return of football standouts [player_tooltip player_id='2539814' first='Denzel' last='Peoples'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2388584' first='Lucas' last='Neidig'] will add valuable depth. Expect big performances from [player_tooltip player_id='1493311' first='Parker' last='Snedaker'], [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2852131' first='Will' last='Cain'].

Corner Canyon has shown impressive progress this offseason. They have a mix of emerging talents and returning players, including Josh Tollman and [player_tooltip player_id='2809197' first='Ty' last='Kozlowski']. However, [player_tooltip player_id='1278508' first='Dillon' last='Roberts'], [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2208570' first='Manase' last='Brown'] are likely to be key contributors.

Layton consistently fields competitive teams, and this year is no different. [player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] leads the charge as a prolific scorer. Jack Godderige and [player_tooltip player_id='2716619' first='Chase' last='Randall'] are also set to make significant contributions as the next wave of senior talent..

#1 Davis

#2 American Fork

#3 Bingham

#4 Corner Canyon

#5 Layton

5A

5A is home to approximately seven teams that pose significant threats, each with the potential to claim the championship. Olympus stands out as the most formidable, likely needing to be defeated before any other team can realistically contend, especially with one of the state's most dynamic players. Timpview has a strong senior class, including standouts Will Openshaw and [player_tooltip player_id='1278448' first='Dean' last='Rueckert'], who could lead their team to a championship. While they will receive ample support, Timpview is undoubtedly a contender. Highland is another team to watch, boasting arguably the most talented roster in the state, from top to bottom. [player_tooltip player_id='1278450' first='Isaiah' last='Drisdom']'s readiness and impressive shooting ability, along with [player_tooltip player_id='1278440' first='Soren' last='Ries']'s skill, make Highland a force to be reckoned with. Pleasant Grove presents a tough challenge, featuring length and players who could potentially dominate opponents. [player_tooltip player_id='1598261' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'], [player_tooltip player_id='1724363' first='Preston' last='White'], Oliver Mossman, and [player_tooltip player_id='2125357' first='Brennan' last='Blackett'] could all emerge as key contributors, potentially surprising many. Lastly, Orem, a powerhouse program in Utah County, has rising star [player_tooltip player_id='1724358' first='Troy' last='Kaufusi'] and Utah signee [player_tooltip player_id='2306605' first='Simeon' last='Suguturaga'] leading the charge. Orem's adaptability allows them to compete effectively in any game, making them a team to watch.

#1 Timpview

#2 Highland

#3 Olympus

#4 Pleasant Grove

#5 Orem

4A

First and foremost, watch out for Judge Memorial and Timpanogos. Both of these teams are talented and can beat anyone. Provo is our #1, but the fractions of a percentage that separate everyone else are slim. With [player_tooltip player_id='1598259' first='Makai' last='Allen'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1960161' first='Callen' last='Tollestrup'], this team is going to have an inside and outside game that can outscore any team. Pine View is a team that has been loading up and from the looks of things, this could be the future trend. They will be led by [player_tooltip player_id='1960175' first='Jelani' last='Odjegba'], a talented SF that can jump out of the gym. Juan Diego has had its off-court troubles, but on the floor, there is one player that is going to turn heads, and that is [player_tooltip player_id='2841025' first='Deng' last='Deng']. The 6'10 forward has a motor and he gets up and down the floor. Dixie, as always, has a team that can compete. You can expect solid play from [player_tooltip player_id='2951706' first='Mack' last='Howard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2148482' first='Collin' last='Simmons']. Cottonwood is a team that has been impressive. Luka Ceces and company will surprise teams this season.

#1 Provo

#2 Pine View

#3 Juan Diego

#4 Dixie

#5 Cottonwood
