Expert Analysis
Hector Marquez | Prep Hoops Scout
White is a downhill/attacking lead guard who has been able to master that midrange. While many people in the past have frowned on the midrange, when you see players like White do work there, you can see how effective it is at the high school level, when you can hit it, as it is a killer shot in college and beyond. White is a three-level scorer that plays with great pace, and he is a no-brainer next-level prospect.

White has been in the lab getting better. His ability to break down defenders and get to spots and score is very good. He has put on some muscle but he is not too bulky, he still has speed and he has wiggle. He is going to be really good this coming season. White is a D1 prospect.

When it comes to lead guards on the rise, White has been on an upward trajectory. His smooth handle and the pace he. plays with allows him to beat players off the dribble, and it is not just the quick first step, it is his angles and change of levels and speed. With PG moving to a loaded 5A classification, look for White to hold his own and make some big-time plays.

Preston has been patiently waiting for his opportunity, and it seems he could get it after working hard in the gym. Pleasant Grove has some talent, but Preston could step up and carry the load if needed. His perimeter skills and shot combinations are crisp, and he can also get to the paint. Expect a more well-rounded game from him this upcoming season.
