Popotte joins the rankings here in Maryland after making to the move to Mt. Zion Prep. The 6-foot-2 guard bring tremendous end-to-end speed, wiggle, and athletic pop that'll allow him to catch a few defenders off guard this season. He brings a command and a swagger as a point guard that should bode well for the Warriors when games get tight. He brings a secure handle against pressure, utilizes change-of-pace effectively, and an IQ in the half-court that should ensure execution.

Howard steps in at his new school after a productive junior campaign and joins new head coach Josh Czerski's roster looking to be a go-to option offensively. The 5-foot-11 guard brings many of the characteristics that will help him shine in the Baltimore City Public School league as a shifty, downhill scoring threat who can get a bucket in a variety of ways. He can shoot it from deep when he isn't trying to break his defender down and get to the cup while also showing off some improved awareness as a passer in our viewings of him this fall.

Harvin put on a scoring clinic at The Challenge earlier this month to help burst onto our radar and give him the obvious nod for a rankings debut. He's more than capable of climbing higher than he is now and if his play with Indian Creek this fall has been any indication for what's to come, the climb will be quick. He's a smaller lead guard who gets to the rim in a flash and can finish with either hand through contact. He's a blur in the open floor and due to his quickness, it wasn't often we saw him settling for triples. But even when he had an opening from deep, he converted with high efficiency.

City lost a bulk of their backcourt production from last year's team, which means Thompson's opportunities should be plentiful. He's a sniper from deep off the catch and with the guards around him that can create drive-and-kick situations, he should benefit with a few key shooting performances this season as the Knights gear up to protect their state title. Thompson has also shown capabilities of playing on the ball and setting the pace when called upon, but his bread is buttered letting it fly from deep whether he's coming off pindowns or rotating around the arc to free himself up in a passing window.

Al-Matten was the lead guard and catalyst to SEED's Cinderella run to the Class 1A State title game last year. He scoring prowess proved to be capable of shouldering the offensive production in high-intense matchups and making real waves for both himself and his team. Looking ahead to this season, look for Al-Mateen to show off the other areas of his game and become a true stat sheet stuffer and he looks to avenge their tough loss in last year's state title matchup and continue to etch his name in the school's history books.
