Next, Taurean Thompason a 6-foot combo guard. Given his steady progression over his sophomore year, it’s safe to say that Thompson is one of the solid contributors for City College. He’s is a strong with the ball, intelligent whose plays with pace, handle, and vision allow him to reliably dictate the action as a focal point. Williams scores the ball well from all levels but is arguably at his best when getting downhill and applying pressure towards the rim. He’s a sharp passer-by who knows how to put his teammates in favorable scoring positions. Defensively, Thompson has no issue containing opposing guards and forcing turnovers with his anticipation. He also rebounds his position really well. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him even more difficult for opponents to contain.

City lost a bulk of their backcourt production from last year’s team, which means Thompson’s opportunities should be plentiful. He’s a sniper from deep off the catch and with the guards around him that can create drive-and-kick situations, he should benefit with a few key shooting performances this season as the Knights gear up to protect their state title. Thompson has also shown capabilities of playing on the ball and setting the pace when called upon, but his bread is buttered letting it fly from deep whether he’s coming off pindowns or rotating around the arc to free himself up in a passing window.

-Without a doubt the top shooter in the showcase for his performance as the winner of the 3 point contest as well as in game play. The newest City College Knight showed his value as a knockdown shooter that can hit shots off the catch, off movement, or off the bounce. Really liked his feel as an off-ball mover that found open pockets in the defense as as soon as his matchup turned their head to provide help defense. Thompson has a really quick release and doesn’t need much airspace to make the defense pay from deep.

Tourean certainly jumped onto the radar after his weekend with Thrill 17’s. Helped his team secure the MADE Hoops Nationals Championship by consistently knocking down shots when needed. Tourean was left a lot of space on the perimeter during the weekend and continuously drilled threes each game. Thompspn started to showcase his versatility within his offense, taking the ball to the rack and making some tough finishes. Showed no fear in taking layups smothered by the defense. Strong showing from the incoming Baltimore City College guard.
